**ROLE PURPOSE**
As a strategic leader, the HRD will collaborate with executive management, shareholders, and the board of directors to articulate HR needs and plans, with the following responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive human resource strategy that aligns with the organization's overall business plan and strategic direction.
- Oversee HR function' across all six countries, ensuring effective succession planning, talent management, change management, organizational and performance management, training and development, and compensation practices.
- Play a key role in ensuring ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles and sustainable practices are integrated into the company's operations.
- Oversee administrative functions to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
The HRD will directly lead HR managers, ESG officers, and administrative staff at the Head Office (Gene Solutions in Vietnam) together with HR/ESG/Admin specialists in each SEA country, and will have indirect responsibility for all employees within the region.
**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Develop and implement a cohesive HR strategy that supports the company's mission, vision, and strategic goals.
- Provide strategic guidance to the executive/senior management of each country and business unit on organizational and management issues.
- Collaborate with the executive management team to establish a robust plan for management succession aligned with the company's strategy and objectives.
- Design and execute comprehensive recruiting, talent acquisition, and retention plans to meet the human capital needs of the organization.
- Develop and implement competitive and cost-effective compensation and benefits programs across the region.
- Lead and oversee talent acquisition, leadership development, career development, succession planning, retention, training, and compensation and benefits practices globally.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations in all countries of operation
- Drive employee engagement initiatives and foster a positive organizational culture across the region.
- Provide guidance and support to HR managers and administrative staff in resolving complex employee relations and administrative issues
- ESG and Sustainable Practice Compliance: Develop and implement strategies and initiatives to ensure the company's compliance with ESG principles and sustainable practices across all operations and countries of operation
- Environmental Sustainability: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement environmentally sustainable practices
- Social Responsibility: Lead and oversee the development and execution of social responsibility programs, including community engagement, employee volunteerism, and diversity and inclusion initiatives
- Governance and Ethics: Promote a culture of strong governance and ethical behavior throughout the organization by ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory requirements, ethical standards, and corporate governance best practices.
- ESG Reporting and Transparency: Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to collect and analyze ESG-related data, prepare reports, and ensure accurate and timely disclosure of ES information to internal and external stakeholders.
- ESG Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs to increase employee awareness and understanding of ESG principles, sustainable practices, and their role in achieving the company's ESG goals.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including investors, customers, and industry partners, to communicate the company's ESG commitments, initiatives, and progress.
- HR and ESG Benchmarking and Best Practices: Stay informed about HR and ESG trends, benchmarks, and best practices and provide guidance and recommendations to senior management on areas for improvement and innovation.
- Oversee administrative functions, including facilities management, office operations, vendor management, procurement, and travel arrangements.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging HR technologies to continuously enhance HR, ESG, and administrative practices and processes.
**KEY REQUIREMENTS**
- A bachelor's Degree from an accredited college and an MBA/ Master's Degree in Human Resources or a related field are preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, including at least five years of executive-level HR experience.
- Demonstrated success in rebuilding HR practices, group HR management, upskilling HR departments, building organizational culture, and optimizing human resource ROI.
- Demonstrated success in integrating ESG principles, driving sustainable practices, and embedding responsible business behaviors within an organization.
- Preferred certification: SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP)
