- Position Summary

The key focuses of the Finance Manager, Accounts Receivable position are:
- To overseee and manage the record, monitoring and reconciliation of payments from students and customers in University systems accurately and timely.- To ensure management and relevant stakeholders are provided meaningful, accurate and executive Account Receivables report on time with intensive analysis and recommendation to ensure robust control and compliance.- To ensure the invoicing and revenue recognition complied with Accounting Standards, tax laws, and University policies.- Fully accountable for Value Added Tax output declaration and its reconciliation are compliance with tax law and regulations.

Reports to: Associate Director, Finance Operations
- Key Accountabilities

1. Leadership and people management- Develop and maintain a culture of continuous improvement, focusing on efficiency optimization of both current and future processes within the scope of the assigned job.- Develop and maintain effective relationships with all relevant internal and external stakeholders.- Manage, develop, recruit, retain the assigned subordinate. Setting direction and guidance to subordinate as needed to stay on target; ensure all deadlines are met and consistent service.- Accountable for designing and continuous enhance working procedure (where necessary), guidance, timeline, and outcome to subordinates and other relevant stakeholders and make amendments in case any changes in process, where necessary, to ensure targets are effectively achieved.- Lead and deliver Account Receivable Finance training program for the finance as well as non-finance staff.- Manage the team in the absence of Associate Director, Finance Operations.

2. Accounts Receivable- Oversee and manage the process of recording payments, reconciliation and balance update by AR team members in ERP (Workday), Student Academic Management System (SAMS) and bank statement to ensure timeliness and accuracy;- Direct and evaluate the result of collection service provided by appointed banker or service provider, if any;-
- Accountable for accounts receivable balance sheet items to be well managed with proper supported by note on account;- Other tasks to be assigned by supervisor.

3. Revenue Management- Manage and accountable for revenue recognition, revenue accrual and revenue reconciliation processes in relevant systems to ensure accuracy and timely of university revenue accordance to Vietnamese Accounting Standard (VAS) and Australian Accounting Standards Board (AASB);- Oversee the provision process and bad debt write of process pursuant to both VAS and AASB;- Manage projects including but not limited to research project, corporate project and its revenue recognition in compliance with regulations and RMIT financial policies.- Ensure Management and stakeholders are provided with quantitative, accurate and timely revenue analysis for decision making.- Accountable for revenue allocation policy of RMIT to ensure all revenue treatments are compliance with VAS and AASB

4. Invoice Management and VAT output declaration- Supervise the maintenance of proper AR supporting documents in compliance with Vietnam accounting and tax regulations as well as University policies;- Manage the invoicing process and reconciliation for all campuses in ERP (Workday), SAMS and e-invoice software (TS24) carried out by AR team members to ensure compliance with Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS), tax laws, and University policies and procedures;-
