**About the role**:
Vaccine Business Unit (VBU) at Takeda Vietnam carry the mission of protecting Vietnamese people against dengue fever, a disease which remains a high burden to healthcare system globally as well as in the country.

In May 2024, TAK-003 (Takeda’s dengue vaccine) was granted marketing authorization by Vietnam local health authority. Vietnam VBU is now at the most exciting stage of preparing the market and bringing TAK-003 to Vietnamese people within the year 2024.

The Area Sales Manager (AM) - Public and General Customers will play a critical role in driving the defined strategy of Vaccine BU towards a sustainale growth of Takeda’s Dengue Vaccine (TAK-003) in Vietnam from commercial perspective and with a focus on customers (influencers and prescribers related to immunization setting) at public sectors and other general accounts in private sector.

**People Leadership**

**By joining Takeda VN in 2024, this role will be able to**:

- Take the lead in setting up a fresh, dynamic and capable team of Medical Sales Representatives covering provinces in North/North Central or South/South Central Highland. The territory could be evolved and expand upon growth of business over time.
- Take the challenge of coaching and training medical sales representatives (MSR) on technical skills and soft skills within a short time frame (less than 3 months).

**In the long term, this role will play crucial role in**:

- Providing prompt coaching, guidance, feedback and support to MSR to maximize sales team's performance.
- Develop and build a high-performance team and be the source of talents for Takeda.
- Together with the NSM and BUD, AM will take the driver seat in ensuring all MSRs respect and deliver values that has defined Takeda over the last 243 years, in which Patient - Trust - Reputation - Business is the backbone for all decisions at Takeda in this order.
- Being the role model to MSRs in ensuring highest standard in conducting all sale force engagement with HCPs and customers in compliance with VN Pharma law and other code of conducts in VN and defined by Takeda.

**Customer Management & Territory Planning**
- Be the key point of contact for the assigned customers/KOLs/HCPs in Public and General accounts for all queries related to TAK-003 vaccine.
- Work closely with NSM to set up the foundation for KOL and HCP engagement plan for the team.
- Take charge of developing quarterly territory planning that will be aligned with overall Takeda Vaccine business and brand strategy.
- Lead and coach MSRs to build and nurture strong, long-lasting relationships with customers and partners, understanding their unique needs and delivering tailored solutions with excellence.
- Work closely with the other peers in Sales force, marketing and medical to ensure One-Takeda image and One voice to KOLs and HCPs across channels nationwide.
- Stay abreast of market information and market trend (including updated news on regulation related to our business, customer insights, market insights, sales out at account level and in-arm data of our vaccine, etc.) to guide the team in territory planning, customer management and contribute to actionable brand plan of marketing team.

**Sales Performance Excellence**
- Define SMART KPIs in terms of Sales target and Sales Force Effectiveness for the dedicated sales team and its MSRs.
- Drive a culture of sales excellence and continuous improvement.
- Ensure aligning the entire team’s activities with the Vaccine BU’s objectives and marketing plans.
- Ensure excellence in executing sales force activities at HCOs/vaccination centers (group product presentation, promotional call, etc.) of his/her team.
- Lead and manage tender process for optimizing the business opportunities towards public accounts when and where is required.
- Support NSM and work effectively with Marketing and Commercial Excellence colleagues for forecasting, target planning and allocation, data tracking, consolidation and analysis, including but not limited to tender, promotional scheme at vaccination centers for Takeda’s vaccine and other vaccine that may impact team’s performance.

**Education and Experience Requirements**

**Essential**:

- Mandatory to hold a university degree in medicine or pharmacy.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry with experience in managing national KOLs, top HCOs, key accounts.
- Compliance mind-set is a must.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in Vietnamese

**Desired**:

- Experience in people leadership or people manager.
- Experience in vaccine, regardless of role and responsibilities.
