1. Strategic contribution:

- Responsible and accountable for developing and executing the local medical & brand strategy for responsible products
- Responsible and accountable for medical multichannel campaigns: including content development, multichannel strategy and the customer journey.
- Responsible and accountable for driving a strategic partnership with local cross-functional teams.
- Accountable for aligning evidence generation with medical and brand strategy;
- Accountable for providing scientific contribution to the development and implementation of Patient engagement programs

2. Data collection, analysis and interpretation:

- Accountable and responsible for managing study-related medical activities for Interventional Post-Approval Trials (IPAT), Observational Studies (OS) and Investigator Initiated Research (IIR) as locally required.
- Responsible and accountable for reviewing and interpreting analytics and relevant field insights to optimise and manage medical content and adapt the evidence generation

3. Managing external relationships:

- Responsible and accountable for fostering Medical Affairs relationships with Thought Leaders and external stakeholder groups e.g. healthcare organisations, medical societies, research groups, patient groups, government/ regulatory institutions.

4. Medical scientific/educational programs:

- Accountable for providing scientific contributions to the development and implementation of local medical/Scientific events that Bayer supports to HCPs and patients

5. Internal support:

- Responsible and accountable for providing medical support on internal projects e.g. pre-launch activities, reimbursement processes, dossier development, commercial campaigns etc.
- Responsible for aligning with internal functions to review Summary of Product Characteristics responsibilities including translations and updates.
- Responsible and accountable for proactively ensuring that Bayer medical activities are in-line with relevant guidelines, regulations and legislations.
- Responsible for providing scientific education and training to cross-functional partners (e.g. Sales and Marketing) on product data, therapeutic area knowledge, and local clinical operations and clinical development studies.
- Responsible and accountable for scientifically reviewing and approving all therapeutic area/product related materials, external communications and advising cross-functionally using medical/scientific expertise.

6. Medical Queries:

- Responsible for documenting and processing medical Information queries in alignment with local Medical Information handling procedures.

Qualifications:

- Strong scientific/ medical background. Qualified Physician / Pharmacist / Biologist / high level of natural science education.
- Desirable to have previous clinical work experience treating patients.
- Desirable previous experience of being a Medical/Scientific Advisor in industry or other Medical Department’s roles.
- Strong skills in managing stakeholders and experienced in building networks.
- Business Acumen displaying ability to operate cross-functionally, driving organizational growth, understanding of marketing/sales functions in pharma industry.
- Desirable experience contributing to an organization’s strategic endeavours, displaying industry/market knowledge.
