The School Manager is responsible for the effective leadership and management of all non-academic services in the School of English & University Pathways, ensuring that they support and enhance the school's teaching and learning programs and the student experience.
The School Manager will lead the cultural and work practice changes required to support the school's strategic directions, whilst managing the school's operational teams, resources, and business planning activities in collaboration with RMIT Vietnam's operational divisions.
The position supports the Director, Pathway Vietnam on matters of management, leadership, planning and policy and is a full member of the SEUP executive committee.

Key selection criteria
- A relevant degree finance, business or management with significant operational experience that provides numeracy, literacy and analytical advice and support. Post graduate qualification, preferably in finance, business, or management is desirable.
- Significant experience at a senior level, leading within a substantial and complex business environment with the ability to manage operational, financial, and human resource functions in support of the delivery academic programs.
- Experience leading in this capacity in a university English language centre is desirable.
- Demonstrated leadership experience and expertise in planning and budgeting for the provision of diverse services, including finance, administrative, and technical support functions to a group within an organization.
- Demonstrated experience in the development, interpretation, implementation, and evaluation of practice in relation to policies and procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and manage a client focused support team combined with excellent communication skills both written and oral with the ability to work cooperatively across university portfolios as a member of a team to achieve group goals.
- Proven ability to lead, manage and motivate a team of professionals to successfully deliver a program of work and maintain a positive, collaborative organisational culture.
- Demonstrated project management and quality assurance management skills.
- Ability to analyse, interpret and present complex data to a variety of audiences.
- Excellent numeracy, literacy, analytical and reporting skills.
- Excellent English skills, both written and oral.
Benefits:
- 20 days annual leave plus 5 days paid leave Xmas closure, plus public holidays and paid sick leave.
If English is not your native language, then you will be required to demonstrate a minimum English language proficiency standard, equivalent to IELTS (General) 6.5.
RMIT Vietnam will require you to complete a Linguaskill test to assess your level of English before an offer of employment can be made.
