To support Vietnam in meeting its Net-Zero commitment and minimize impacts of climate change, we are looking for a passionate Localization Manager with knowledge from the Renewable Energy, Offshore Wind, and/or Infrastructure industry in Vietnam to join our team in Hanoi and become part of our global team of industry, supply chain and localization experts at Copenhagen Offshore Partners.


As Supply Chain and Localization Manager, you will be responsible for creating, developing, maintaining & managing relationships with key strategic suppliers in the local and regional market.

You will also develop and implement a Localization Plan which demonstrates CIP/COP's ambition to become a localization champion in Vietnam whilst satisfying internal and external stakeholders' interests.

You will collaborate with key stakeholders by acting as a bridge between internal stakeholders and suppliers to identify bottlenecks and opportunities and find solutions.

Furthermore, you will work with the supply chain to ensure CIP/COP can leverage strategic and relationship advantages related to the supply chain.

Lastly, you will support strategic sourcing projects within CIP/COP and promote utilization of existing supply chains and/or development of new supply chains where needed, all in close collaboration with key stakeholders.


The role will be based in our office in Hanoi, Vietnam, on a local contract, reporting into the Procurement Director and Project Development Manager.


Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Own and drive the localization agenda in the project and take responsibility for the localization deliverables
  • Provide frequent progress update on the localization and supplier engagement agenda
  • Gain solid knowledge of the supply chain and its opportunities and bottlenecks and share with key stakeholders
  • Organize and host meetings between potential and existing suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Deliver the Supplier information, projects and status to the Procurement Director and project management.
  • Collection and presentation of supply chain market intelligence and support opportunities
  • Maintain supplier dashboards with key supplier contact and activity information
  • Execute some project procurement activities incl, planning, tracking, negotiations and managing sourcing processes
  • Understand CIP/COP supply chain needs and develop plans to address them
  • Identify key staff in client companies to cultivate profitable relationships
  • Provide/deliver supplier performance reports as applicable
  • Approach potential suppliers to establish relationship
  • Support the Procurement Director in the development of supplier strategies, bid packages and contracts
  • Support the development and maintenance of a sourcing plan
  • Offer input regarding negotiation processes and related tools
  • As applicable develop and drive supplier scorecards and ongoing supplier performance improvement working with supply base
  • As applicable develop sourcing strategies and drive supplier selection processes within our offshore wind farm projects

Profile


We work in an international environment, and it is therefore crucial that you possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, speak, and write in English fluently as well as having a great understanding of different cultures.


To succeed in this role, you have/are:

  • University degree in a relevant discipline (such as in business development, renewables, communication, law).
  • Minimum 5 years of related work experience.
  • Previous experience in contracting, procurement, and/or supply chain development.
  • Passionate about renewable energy, with a strong interest to learn about infrastructure projects and the offshore wind industry.
  • Top academic performer with extensive governmental and/or industry experience and an interest in large and complex infrastructure projects.
  • Understanding of earlystage project definition, design processes and optimization.
  • Experience working for or within Vietnam's energy sector (ideally renewable) is highly desirable. Experience with large foreign corporations is a plus.
