Manage materials strategy process & strategic allocation to balance material portfolio against multiple factors, e.g. availability, cost, quality, sustainability, innovation etc. Actively manage & ensure a best-inclass and balanced supplier portfolio. Contribute in building material pricing models for innovative material technologies to achieve sustainability ambition, e.g. waterless colorization. Review & track material prices for sustainable materials incl. waterless colorization- KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Building a balanced supplier portfolio through strategic allocation considering multiple factors like cost competitiveness, availability, sustainability, innovation, quality and speed.
  • Develop and build material knowledge, including supply market developments, manufacturing & costing processes to ensure bestinclass portfolio management.
  • Manage market research activities to identify and evaluate new suppliers and manage their onboarding in alignment with Materials Operations.
  • Execute the portfolio strategy and give input to local Materials Operations teams to derive and execute local sourcing strategy, e.g. phase out suppliers.
  • Long term allocate & recommend optimized materials towards the best performing suppliers and ensure the required system implementation.
  • Consult HQ teams as well as Liaison Office Development and Production on the allocation of new developments.
  • Track implementation of the defined portfolio strategy, e.g. no new developments with suppliers that will be phasedout.
  • Implement material pricing models for innovative technologies for sustainability, e.g. waterless colorization, in collaboration with Advanced Manufacturing & Material Operations.
  • Ensure the accurate and continuous tracking of market data on input factors for innovative technologies.
  • Track, report & project sustainable material prices incl. from waterless colorization
  • General insights to build business cases from a cost & supplier portfolio perspective for sustainable materials incl. new technologies.
  • Oversee relevant costing reporting on KPI's, e.g. volume growth etc.
  • Role model leadership to foster a culture of Diversity Equity & Inclusion that strives for an inclusive workplace.
  • Develop and coach team to ensure the best standards of performance, appropriate skillsets and strong succession plans are in place.

  • Knowledge of materials construction and manufacturing process is preferred.
