PURPOSE

The Compensation & Benefits Officer ensures accurate management of employee data, compliance with compensation-related regulations, and smooth administration of benefits. The position also supports HR cost analysis, performance-linked rewards, and the development of organizational C&B policies and procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Payroll & Social Insurance & Benefits Administration

  • Manage end-to-end monthly payroll with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Process Social Insurance (SI) increase/decrease for new hires, leavers, maternity cases, and salary adjustments.
  • Coordinate with relevant authorities and vendors to ensure timely SI submissions and compliance.
  • Administer all employee benefits including healthcare plans, allowances, welfare programs, and organizational support schemes.

Employee Data & HR Records

  • Maintain accurate and updated employee master data in HR systems.
  • Ensure proper filing and documentation of personnel records.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing required HR data and documentation.
  • Track employee movements (new hires, promotions, transfers, terminations) for payroll and reporting.

Compensation Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with Personal Income Tax (PIT), Social Insurance (SI), and relevant labour law requirements.
  • Monitor regulatory updates and advise HR and management on necessary adjustments.

HR Cost Analysis

  • Support annual manpower cost planning and budgeting.
  • Track and analyze monthly manpower costs, staff turnover cost, and HR operational expenses.
  • Provide data for HR reporting dashboards and financial forecasting.
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance to align KPI results with reward calculations.

Policy & SOP Development

  • Support the development and implementation of Compensation & Benefits policies, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Draft and maintain operational SOPs related to payroll, benefits, data management, and HR compliance.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and internal control.

Performance & Rewards

  • Translate performance evaluation and KPI results into accurate bonus, incentive, and reward calculations.
  • Support communications regarding reward outcomes, bonus guidelines, and performance-related entitlements.
  • Maintain records of annual and special incentive cycles.=

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • At least 2–3 years of experience in Compensation & Benefits, payroll, or HR operations.
  • Strong knowledge of labour regulations, PIT, SI, and compliance frameworks.
  • Proficiency in HRIS, payroll systems, and advanced Excel.
  • High attention to detail, confidentiality, and data accuracy.
  • Familiarity with building HR policies and SOPs.
  • Experience in HR cost analysis or KPI–reward calculation.
  • Experience in multinational environments is an asset.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory; French is an asset.
