Responsibilities

  1. Sourcing / Sourcing Management:

After receiving a quotation request from the customer, search for suppliers who can provide the requested products, evaluate the suppliers, confirm the possibility of delivery, obtain information such as market prices at the end-user level and warranty conditions of the products, and collect related details necessary for quotation. Also, negotiate prices and transaction terms.

Follow up and manage subordinates engaged in sourcing. When there are missing or unclear points in the quotation request, or when there are inquiries from suppliers to customers, confirm the details with related parties in coordination with the Sales staff.

  1. Purchase Management:

After receiving an order, follow up and manage subordinates in charge of purchasing operations, such as confirming transaction conditions, prices, and delivery dates related to issuing POs to suppliers.

Also, when confirmation or negotiation with suppliers occurs regarding quality or delivery, follow up and manage the Purchase staff accordingly.

  1. Logistics Management:

After receiving an order, delivery occurs from the supplier to our warehouse and from our warehouse to the customer.

Follow up and manage the Logistics staff, who coordinate deliveries and repackaging in the warehouse in cooperation with Sales staff, Purchase staff, and logistics companies.

  1. Internal Operation Management:

For each purchase and sales transaction, follow up and manage GA staff who input data into the accounting system and handle related documents.

Also, understand and improve the internal accounting system and order management system in cooperation with IT staff.

  1. Customs Clearance Management:

Follow up and manage Purchase/GA staff who work with forwarders to handle export customs clearance procedures for EPE companies.

  1. Related operations such as order placement and delivery after contract conclusion.

  2. Other related practical tasks, research, and preparation of reports.

  3. Preparation of regular sales and other reports and presentation to management.

  4. Planning and execution of overall and procurement strategies to achieve team goals.

  5. Team management and development. Guidance on improving business operations and enhancing personnel performance.

  6. Related practical tasks and operational improvement through cooperation with the MRO team and other IT and General Affairs departments.

Qualifications

・More than 5 years of purchasing experience, including at least 2 years in a management position (team leader experience is also acceptable).

・Work experience in a Japanese company and understanding of JP corporate culture and working style under Japanese supervisors.

・Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.

・Experience in MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) or related industries.

・Business-level English or Japanese proficiency (either one is acceptable as long as communication with Japanese supervisors is possible).
