Piriou Vietnam, formerly South East Asia Shipyard was established in Vietnam at the end of 2006. Born half a century ago in Concarneau( Brittany-France), one of the largest fishing harbours in France, Piriou is a French leader in shipbuilding and ship repair for medium size vessels.

Piriou Vietnam build medium size, aluminum and steel vessels of up to 120 meters in length. The shipyard is specialized in offshore crew transfer vessels, offshore gas supply vessels, tugs, purse seiners, services boats and since recently, saling cargos.

WIth design offices in France and Vietnam, Piriou can design and build all types of work boats and fisching vessels upon customer requirements.

Since 2007, more than 110 aluminum vessels and nearly 60 steel vessels including deep freezer tuna purse seiners, expedition and yatch support vessels, long liners, tug boat, barges, fast rescue boats (FRB), Offshore industrial crew boats, passenger & sailing vessels and wind-farm support vessels (WFSV) have sailed away so far and going from Ben Luc/Nha Be facilities.

Piriou Vietnam Electrical Team is part of Piriou Vietnam Design Office alongside the Hull, Outfitting, Accommodation and Piping & Machinery Teams.

Piriou Vietnam electrical team is responsible for the detailed design and integration all of electrical functions on board the vessel.  Its main function is to develop the basic design received from Piriou Engineering (French bases Design offices) to a level of details and documentation sufficient for a smooth and expedite installation on board the vessel.

Piriou Vietnam electrical team is responsible to define each electrical equipment and to ensure these are correctly specified to be ordered on time.

The role of the EEDL is to manage the PVN electrical team, with a particular focus on:

  • - Supporting French based Design offices within the headquater (Basic design & naval architecture) with technical and budgetary input during the development of Piriou commercial offers,
  • - Assisting French based Design offices  during the basic design phase as and when required,
  • - Liaising with French based Design offices  during the detail design to ensure smooth transfer of information with PING and its subcontractors,
  • - Coordinating the different activities and projects within his team to ensure on-time and on budget delivery,
  • - Acting as design leader within his team and other yard's stakeholders,
  • - Being responsible for quality of the work produced by Piriou Vietnam electrical team,
  • - With the approval of the DM, managing the development and recruitment within the Piriou Vietnam electrical team.


Profil recherché
  • - Knowledge of shipbuilding regulations, and specifically of the French codes
  • - Mastering of the complete ship design process. Project / Basic / Design / Industrialization / Preparation
  • - Detailed knowledge of:
  • - electrical power production, distribution,
  • - control systems,
  • - communication systems,

in a marine environment.

Be able to criticize a design principle and propose alternative solution

Be able to respect the ISO procedures

Be able to use Autocad and MS Office

Knowledge of See Electrical

Knowledge of Cadmatic software is a plus

Good written and verbal communication skills
