Overview

We are seeking Senior and Intermediate Building Services Engineers in Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic/Plumbing, and Fire Protection with strong experience in building services design and coordination.

The role is based in Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh City preferred), with opportunities to work on projects in Vietnam and Australia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design building services systems within your discipline (e.g. HVAC, power & lighting, ELV/ICT, hydraulic & drainage, fire detection & protection).
  • Coordinate with other MEPF disciplines to deliver integrated, efficient designs.
  • Prepare and review calculations, drawings, specifications, and schedules.
  • Work with architects, structural engineers, contractors, and suppliers to resolve technical issues.
  • Support design reviews, planning, and client presentations.
  • Contribute to the improvement of internal standards, templates, and workflows.
  • Maintain a focus on quality, constructability, energy efficiency, and safety.

Senior-Level Responsibilities

  • Act as discipline lead / project lead on selected projects.
  • Plan and manage design programs, resources, and deadlines.
  • Lead multidisciplinary coordination across Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire systems.
  • Review and sign off discipline deliverables.
  • Mentor junior and intermediate engineers.
  • Support business development through technical input to proposals and client meetings.

Intermediate-Level Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of allocated design packages under senior guidance.
  • Assist with site inspections, shop drawing reviews, and RFIs.
  • Develop skills in BIM and modelling tools (e.g. Revit, Navisworks) and apply them to project work.
  • Identify design issues and propose practical, coordinated solutions.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services, Fire Safety, or related engineering field.
  • Senior Engineer:
  • Typically 8–10+ years of building services design experience, including time in a senior/lead role.
  • Proven experience leading projects and coordinating multi-discipline teams.
  • Intermediate Engineer:
  • Typically 3–7 years of building services design experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver design packages with increasing independence.
  • Strong knowledge of building services systems, coordination, and relevant codes/standards (Vietnamese and/or Australian standards an advantage).
  • Proficient in BIM and design software (e.g. Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, discipline-specific tools).
  • Good English communication skills (written and spoken) are a strong advantage.
