JOB PURPOSE
The Accountant is primarily responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial data related to the Vietnam operations is provided on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. This role requires a solid understanding of local accounting processes, attention to detail, and the ability to manage general administrative tasks.
Future Growth:
This position is expected to expand its scope over time, taking on more advanced accounting and financial analysis tasks to serve as a
financial bridge
between the Vietnam business unit and the Global Finance team.
Key Responsibilities
I. Accounting & Reporting ( Current Focus)
- Bookkeeping & General Ledger:
Perform general accounting transactions, ensuring compliance with local Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS). - Cost Tracking & Reconciliation:
Coordinate daily cost tracking and reporting (daily cost tracking) and reconcile various operating expenses related to the department's activities. - Basic Financial Reporting:
Support the preparation of internal periodic financial reports (weekly/monthly), such as general overhead (MOH & DC) and receivables/payables summaries. - Documentation Management:
Ensure all accounting documents related to contracts, expenses, production, and inventory movements are filed and maintained according to internal and statutory requirements. - Inventory Control:
Participate in monthly physical inventory counts and reconcile findings against book records.
II. Administrative & Office Support
- Office Logistics:
Manage and monitor office supplies, equipment, and departmental fixed assets. - Contract Management:
Support the preparation, renewal tracking, and archiving of office lease agreements, management housing, and vehicle rental contracts. - Administrative Procedures:
Receive, classify, and file administrative documents, ensuring effective record-keeping and official correspondence flow.
III. Future Development (Growth Path)
- P&L Analysis:
Develop skills to maintain and analyze daily business Profit & Loss reports (P&L) and track major variances. - Global Position Analysis:
Analyze and report on global commodity positions directly to management. - System Data Analysis:
Directly analyze stock levels, sales orders, and raw material requirements using the
Navision
ERP system.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
Experience:
Minimum
3 years
of general accounting or relevant financial experience.
Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel proficiency is essential).
- Proven ability to learn and adapt to new systems (ERP/Navision).
- Languages:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in
English
(required for global coordination).
