Lead AI Engineer

As an AI Engineer Lead, you will:

• Design and implement agentic AI workflows, integrating LLMs with APIs, tools, and external systems using frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or Semantic Kernel
• Collaborate with clients and business teams to understand needs, provide technical consultation, and design AI solutions that align with both business and technical goals
• Work closely with data scientists and engineers to productionize ML/LLM models (data pipelines, training, optimization, deployment)
• Drive AI architecture decisions and ensure scalability, reliability, and performance in production environments
• Oversee MLOps and continuous delivery pipelines, ensuring stable releases and fast iteration cycles
• Stay updated on the latest AI, LLM, and agentic technologies to guide the team toward innovation and excellence
• Inspire, mentor, and grow a high-performing AI engineering team

WHO YOU ARE:

#Mandatory Skills

• 5+ years of experience as an AI Engineer, with at least 2 years in a lead or architect role
• Proven track record in designing and deploying AI/LLM applications in production
• Strong expertise in machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn)
• Hands-on experience with LLMs (e.g., OpenAI GPT, Claude, Gemini, Llama) and prompt engineering
• Familiarity with LLM orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel)
• Experience designing agentic AI systems with multi-step reasoning and tool usage
• Proficiency in Python (and optionally R/Java), strong software engineering fundamentals, and cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Solid understanding of MLOps workflows (CI/CD for ML, model versioning, retraining, monitoring)
• Excellent client-facing communication and consulting skills — ability to bridge technical and business discussions.

#Desired Skills

• Experience with big data tools (Hadoop, Spark) or distributed data processing frameworks
• Knowledge of retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS)
• Proven success in bidding, solution consulting, or pre-sales for AI-related projects
• Experience with model optimization for large-scale or LLM-based applications
• Familiarity with Agile leadership, mentoring engineers, and driving product excellence
