Job Purpose

To assist UORM and BCP in management of business and operational risk for the bank to ensure safe and soundTo assist CEO, COO, UORM as well as unit heads in implementing DBS Group policies, process, implementation and management, ensuring sound of governance and control, as well as compliance with local regulatory requirements. Where required, to provide supports to UORM, CEO, CEO on business management support tasks and other projects to strengthen the risk and control for the branch

Key Accountabilities

Ensure safe and sound of data, risk, governance and control in placeOversight of risk indicators, risk event, escalation and reporting of incidents, BCP and management of risksOversight of operational risk, regulatory compliance risk and business riskProvide business management support where required

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Oversight of unit's business policy, process and management (including development, of local specific requirement to meet local regulations, planning and execution)Oversight of risk governance, control within IBG unit and further at branch levelEnsure timely implementation of corporate operational risk policies, standards and guides within unit.  Ensure proper approvals are obtained for deviations from corporate operational risk policies and standardsDevelop and ensure implementation of unit-specific operational risk guides, where relevant and proceduresPromote risk & control awareness, including ensuring operational risk trainings are conducted and training plans are established and complied withShare operational risk best practices within the unitBe the RCSA Coordinator to ensure timely completion of the unit's Risk Control Self-Assessment ("RCSA") programme and provide guidance on the identification/assessment of risks and controls. Ensure that issues and action plans arising from the RCSA are tracked to completion on time

Required Experience

Non-technical Experience

Excellent communication and presentation skills in EnglishFamiliar with banking operations and banking productsCollaboration, team playerBe innovative, adaptive to change, and fast learnerTime management and project managementHandling of multi-tasks under pressureGood mindset on risk, governance and control

Technical Experience

Sufficient knowledge and experience of client onboarding, credit processing (e.g. relationship manager experiences)Having business experiences and business mindsetAbility to lead a unit level team (or teams) to implementExcellent basic computer skills (proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint is the must)

Minimum No. of Years

Minimum of 5 years of experiences in banking industry
