AI Researcher – Conversational AI / Multimodal LLM

Hanoi, Vietnam | Full-time | Humanoid Robotics

VinDynamics is building the next generation of humanoid robots capable of
natural communication
, contextual understanding, and seamless interaction with humans.

We are looking for an
AI Researcher
specializing in
NLP, LLMs, and Conversational AI
, with strong
publications (ACL/EMNLP/NeurIPS/ICLR)
.

What You Will Do

  • Conduct advanced research in
    Conversational AI, Large Language Models, and Dialogue Systems
  • Develop LLM-based conversational models for humanoid robots:

→ Reasoning, long-context memory, grounding, safety

  • Publish research at
    ACL, EMNLP, NAACL, NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR
  • Build NLU pipelines (intent, DST, slot filling, safety filtering)
  • Integrate LLMs with ASR/TTS and vision modules to create natural human–robot interaction
  • Deploy and optimize models on
    Jetson AGX Orin, RTX GPUs
    , and test on real humanoid robots

Requirements
Must Have

  • Master's/PhD in NLP/AI/ML/CS/Cognitive Science/Robotics
  • Strong publication record (ACL/EMNLP/NAACL or top-tier ML conferences)
  • Deep understanding of Transformer-based LLMs (LLaMA, GPT, Qwen, T5, PaLM, etc.)
  • Experience fine-tuning conversational models and building datasets
  • Strong Python & PyTorch skills

Nice to Have

  • Experience in ASR/TTS or multimodal LLMs
  • Background in HRI (Human–Robot Interaction)
  • Knowledge of RLHF, RLAIF, alignment, and hallucination mitigation
  • Contributions to open-source NLP/LLM projects
