Job description

What You'll Do

  • Define and lead the strategic AI/ML research and development direction.
  • Build and manage a high-performing AI Lab team of 4–5 members.
  • Scope and shape AI initiatives by setting clear objectives, deliverables, and success metrics.
  • Architect cutting-edge AI/ML solutions, leveraging open-source models where appropriate.
  • Integrate AI capabilities—especially generative AI—into key products and services.
  • Ensure AI solutions' quality, performance, and scalability.
  • Design and implement scalable AI systems and workflows, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and business teams to align execution with strategic goals.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report on the progress and impact of AI programs.
  • Foster partnerships with external research institutions and technology providers.

Your Responsibilities

Research & Development (40%)

  • Stay at the forefront of AI/ML trends, applying cutting-edge techniques to business use cases.
  • Develop proprietary algorithms and models tailored to organizational needs.
  • Continuously optimize model performance and deployment efficiency.

Team Leadership (30%)

  • Mentor and grow AI team members, fostering technical excellence and innovation.
  • Review code, research outputs, and architectural designs.
  • Oversee delivery timelines and maintain high standards of quality.

Strategy & Planning (30%)

  • Define a long-term AI/ML technical roadmap aligned with business strategy.
  • Identify product development opportunities powered by AI.
  • Collaborate closely with product and business units to translate AI capabilities into customer value.
Your skills and experience
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, AI, Machine Learning, or related fields.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in AI/ML roles.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams of at least 3 AI engineers.
  • Expertise in building and deploying generative AI solutions in real-world applications.
  • Deep knowledge of NLP, Computer Vision, and Recommendation Systems.
  • Strong experience in integrating AI into production products and services to meet business goals.
  • Proficient with modern ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face, etc.
  • Creative and strategic mindset with the ability to design AI models tailored to organizational needs.
  • Fluent in English (both written and verbal) and ready to collaborate with international partners.
