Job Description

1.    Planning Control

·     Optimize capacity planning to maximize revenue while fulfilling all customer demand.

·     Build and maintain planning tools to monitor detailed schedules and daily actual performance.

·     Leverage planning systems to reduce manufacturing costs, manage inventory efficiently, and increase operational flexibility.

·     Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify root causes of shipment delays and drive timely, effective corrective actions.

·     Continuously track and ensure On Time Delivery (OTD) aligns with customer delivery expectations.

·     Ensure committed delivery dates closely match the Customer Request Date (CRD).

·     Improve capacity utilization and maintain high efficiency of production equipment.

·     Assess and recommend capacity investments based on future customer needs.

·     Manage raw material planning and ensure adequate supply for production activities.

·     Facilitate effective daily, weekly, and monthly coordination meetings with relevant teams.

·     Detect and resolve planning-related issues across functions in a timely and effective manner.

·     Provide accurate, timely responses to customer inquiries.

·     Complete OTD reports and other assigned reporting tasks within required deadlines.

·     Maintain strong understanding of customer needs and expectations.

·     Organize customer meetings to address and resolve planning concerns.

2.    Inventory Control

·     Deliver rolling demand forecasts to Purchasing promptly to reduce procurement lead times.

·     Monitor backlog and ensure pull-in/push-out requirements are communicated without delay.

·     Control Work in Progress (WIP) levels and aging to minimize excess inventory.

·     Update production yield data promptly to avoid shortages or overproduction of finished goods.

3.    Supervision, Management & Leadership

·     Build and maintain a fully staffed, motivated, and empowered team capable of sustaining high performance in a fast-changing environment while aligning with cost realities.

·     Ensure proper hiring by consistently applying effective interviewing and selection methods.

·     Promote a strong learning culture by ensuring continuous training and development for both immediate and long-term organizational goals.

·     Ensure the Performance Management Process is fully implemented with meaningful stretch goals, ongoing developmental feedback, and 100% On Time Delivery of evaluations.

4.    Others

·     Ensure all Work Instructions are created and updated in a timely manner.

·     Review and propose improvements for Continuous Improvement processes.

Required qualification

·     Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, Finance, Economics, or related fields.

Required working experience

·     At least 10 years of experience in production planning & inventory control within manufacturing, including 5+ years in managerial/leadership roles.

·     Experience in optical component manufacturing, optics, or similar industries involving multi-step assembly processes is strongly preferred.

·     Experience with ERP systems, MS Office, and process/quality tools

Required language

·     Fluent in English

Required knowledge and skills

·     Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-cultural team leadership skills.

·     Familiarity with ISO/TQM and global manufacturing compliance standards.
