JOB DESCRIPTION

1. Data Design, Development, and Batch Operations

  • Monitor daily batch results at 8 AM and check for anomalies
  • Reprocess failed batches using Airflow (within the scope that does not require logic modification)
  • Investigate anomalies and review DW/DM logic
  • Collaborate with source system operation teams in case of ODS data ingestion issues
  • Monitor and reprocess external data ingestion (RPA, API, S3 files, etc.)

2. IT HelpDesk Operations (Ticket-based)

  • Handle data extraction service requests (SR)

  • Communicate with requesters to clarify requirements

  • Refer to analytical ERD and extract data using SQL

  • Review SQL queries and results, then deliver after Big Data Platform team's validation

  • Respond to inquiries regarding data logic and simple data requests

  • Handle Tableau report-related issues (errors, functionality, cache refresh)

3. Incident Management

  • Investigate and reprocess errors using Airflow, Snowflake SP, and batch logs
  • Respond to ODS/DW batch failures with immediate troubleshooting and root cause analysis
  • Escalate infrastructure-related issues (EKS, network firewall, etc.) to responsible teams

4. New Data / Service Onboarding

  • Operate and manage pipelines for new DB, API, RPA, and S3 data sources
  • Support ingestion/mapping of new source data (e.g., GA data)
  • Support new and renewal service rollouts (e.g., POS Cloud migration, etc.)

5. Snowflake and AWS Infrastructure Operations

  • Optimize Snowflake queries, manage accounts/permissions, and monitor cost
  • Monitor AWS EKS, Glue, Grafana alerts, and tagging management
  • Manage Secret Manager registration and metadata

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Statistics, Information Systems, or a related field
  • At least 4 years of hands-on experience as Data Platform Operation/Data Engineer or related positions
  • Required Hands-on experience in Data Warehouse (DW), ETL, and batch process operations
  • Advanced SQL proficiency – writing complex queries and performance optimization
  • Experience in Snowflake operations and data logic management
  • Experience with Airflow or similar batch scheduling/monitoring tools
  • Understanding of AWS infrastructure (EC2, S3, Glue, EKS, etc.)

Preferred

  • Experience with BI/Visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI, etc.)
  • Big data platform experience (Spark, Hadoop, etc.)
  • Experience with RPA/API-based data ingestion
  • Experience in global collaboration projects
