Job description

This is a full-time role for a Software Consultant, located in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The Software Consultant will be responsible for the day-to-day tasks of software development, implementation, and customer support. The role will also require close collaboration with other team members in Vietnam and oversea to continuously review, improve, and develop high-quality projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Software implementation, integration, and support
  • Coding, data modeling, query development, and optimization
  • Development of demos and proof-of-concepts
  • Communicate project status to team members in daily & weekly follow-ups
  • Assist the Technical Manager and Sales team to support and work with customers when necessary
  • Gather, analyze, and document project functional requirements.
Your skills and experience

Skills Required:

  • Strong knowledge of application development and system integrations
  • Understanding the open-source technology
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language, e.g. Java, Python, Go
  • Hands-on experience with distributed systems from an architecture and development perspective
  • Knowing Linux, databases (e.g. MySQL, MongoDB), application security, information retrieval/analytics
  • Good understanding of micro-services and container platform, e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, etc, and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) is a plus
  • Knowing AI/ Machine Learning, NLP (Natural Language Processing) and/or Elasticsearch is a plus
  • Having high responsibility for the assigned tasks, and being proactive in taking on new tasks as needed or when available
  • Comfortable working remotely and/or at the client's premises
  • Being able to work independently as well as actively contributing to the team.

Profile:

  • Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related engineering discipline
  • Minimum 3-5 years working experience as a Software Developer/ DevOps Engineer or similar role
  • Having work experience in implementing Elastic platform and/or similar solutions is a plus
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Enthusiastic, creative and flexible
  • Eager to learn new technologies
