Job Description

We are looking for a talented Mobile APP Developer to enhance the user interface of our IoT Photo Booth project. This role involves creating intuitive, responsive web and/or mobile interfaces that allow users to interact with the photo booth in real-time— from selecting effects and capturing photos to previewing and sharing results. You will work closely with backend developers and UX designers to ensure a smooth, engaging experience across devices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain mobile applications using modern frameworks, focusing on touch-friendly interfaces for kiosks, web apps, or mobile companions.

  • Implement real-time features like live camera previews, filter applications, and instant sharing to social platforms.

  • Integrate with backend APIs to fetch and display user data, photos, and session status.

  • Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility, with emphasis on performance for low-latency interactions in IoT environments.

  • Collaborate on UI/UX design, incorporating animations, transitions, and accessibility features for diverse users.

  • Optimize frontend code for speed and scalability, handling high-resolution images and media without compromising load times.

  • Conduct testing and debugging to resolve issues related to user interactions, responsiveness, and integration with hardware feedback (e.g., button presses or sensor inputs).

  • Stay updated on emerging frontend technologies to innovate features like AR filters or voice controls.

This position focuses on delivering visually appealing and user-friendly experiences that make photo booths memorable.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mobile APP Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 1-3 years of frontend development experience, ideally in Android/iOS mobile application or media-rich applications.

  • Experience in JavaScript/TypeScript, with frameworks like React Native, , , or Angular; experience with or similar for server-side rendering is a plus.

  • Experience in HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles (e.g., using Tailwind CSS or Bootstrap).

  • Experience with state management tools (e.g., Redux, Vuex) and API integration (REST, GraphQL).

  • Familiarity with real-time technologies like WebSockets or for live updates.

  • Proficiency in handling media elements, such as canvas for image manipulation or WebRTC for camera access.

  • Understanding of performance optimization, SEO, and web accessibility (WCAG standards).

  • Strong communication skills in Cantonese or Mandarin are a plus.
