**The Opportunity**

Our client, a rising independent Australian financial management firm with services covering responsible entities, trustees, corporate trusts, custody services, etc. is looking for a **Fund Accountant** to join their vibrant, promising, and inspiring environment with an encouraging and high-performance culture.

This Fund Accountant will join the team to provide a comprehensive range of fund administration, accounting, management reporting, and tax compliance services to the fund managers of the MIT funds to assist the company in offering a one-stop-shop solution to international fund managers.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Ensure all client deliverables are in line with service agreements
- Maintenance of accounting records including entering transactions into Reckon (experience helpful but not essential) accounting software
- Processing of investor transactions
- Tax compliance including distribution calculations and BAS returns
- Liaison with external auditors and service providers
- Preparation of annual Financial Statements
- Preparation of periodic management reporting packs.

**Key Skills & Experience**
- At least 2-3 years in a similar role at an accounting firm
- Relevant qualifications in accounting or finance (CPA/CA qualified or willing to study CPA/CA preferred)
- Competent at preparing full-spectrum financial statements
- Advanced Microsoft Excel
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Understand the importance of confidentiality
- Effective stakeholder management
- A team player and able to work independently
- Audit experience with the Big4 will be an advantage
- Experience in accounting for property funds is an advantage3 years in a similar role at accounting firms
