**To support Vietnam in meeting its Net-Zero commitment in COP26 and minimize the impacts of climate change, we are looking for a passionate Government Relations Analyst to join our team of industry experts to support the development of offshore wind projects in Vietnam.**

This a unique and challenging opportunity for a competent and experienced Government Relations Analyst where you will become an integral part of the company and have distinct area responsibility on our projects in Vietnam. As our new Government Relations Analyst, you will support the Government Relations Director in government affairs and advocacy activities on our projects in Vietnam, including desk research, report writing, translation, and stakeholder engagement work to lead to the development of favourable regulations and policies for offshore wind and improve the reputation of CIP/COP in Vietnam. You will report to the Government Relations Director.

The role will be based in our office in Hanoi, Vietnam on a local contract.

**Tasks & Responsibilities**
- Support to monitor and contribute to the consultation and maturation of key policies and regulatory documents for Vietnam’s offshore wind sector and renewable energy industry in general.
- Facilitate the implementation of governmental regulatory and stakeholder engagement activities to support COP’s strategy for offshore wind project involvement and industry maturation in Vietnam.
- Support the implementation of the governmental communication strategy, liaise, and manage the contracts of external consultants for the implementation.
- Assist with regulatory research work under the direction of the Government Relations Director, including research on a wide variety of regulatory and economic issues through desk research and primary source research; assisting with the translation of reference documents and drafting of analytical reports and presentations.
- Support to prepare materials in support of CIP’s/COP’s government relations agenda, such as talking points, legislative summaries, stakeholder bios, reports, and letters.
- Facilitate meetings and discussions with external stakeholders, such as governmental authorities, embassies, influential industry groups, and NGOs.
- Support in engaging with local stakeholder team members to ensure provincial interfaces and alignment with the Hanoi office.
- Maintain and update the stakeholder map and engagement plan.
- Attend and take notes at meetings and provide translation service if required.
- Perform other duties as required from time to time.

**Profile**

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about renewable energy and has a strong interest in learning about the offshore wind industry.

We work in an international environment, and it is therefore crucial that you possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as speak and write in English fluently. It is also considered a great advantage to have a substantial general understanding of different cultures.

**Further qualifications for this position include**:

- Minimum 3 years related professional work experience.
- Passionate about renewable energy, with a strong interest to learn about the offshore wind industry.
- Top academic performer with extensive governmental and/or industry experience and an interest in large and complex infrastructure projects.
- Good understanding of working with different cultures
- Experience in government relations and advocacy work
- Have excellent communication and personal skills
- A global mindset with an ability to communicate clearly
- Perseverance with an ability to prioritize and execute tasks in order to meet deadlines
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to interface effectively with local authorities, ministries, and community
- Strong relationship management and networking skills. Proactive and cooperative way of working and high attention to detail
- Structured personality with solid project management and/or leadership experience - able to combine multidisciplinary inputs and deliver high-quality work to deadlines.
