**Responsibilities/ Daily tasks you will take care**:
**Risk Management**
- Contribute to efficient and effective risk management practices within the data product teams
- Conduct data usage or risk assessments, or support self-assessments, with respect to the appropriate use of data, data privacy and commercial agreement assessments against requests from business, risk, compliance, and other operational teams
- Collaborate on Internal and External Audit engagements within the domain
- Collaborate with L1 risk to investigate and resolve risk events and issues
- Collaborate with other domain members, L1 risk, internal legal teams, and other operational teams within the enterprise to ensure adherence to appropriate legislation and internal policies

Data Management
- Contribute to the implementation of data quality and data integrity controls within domain data products
- Collaborate within the data domain to resolve data quality issues
- Advise and guide the appropriate data stakeholders to contribute to the delivery of business metadata
- Support federated data decisioning activities and provide data stewardship and governance advice to business/product owners
- Contribute to projects, initiatives, remediation, and continuous improvement activity, by providing advice and delivering governance over the domain data products

**Requirements/ Desired skills and experience**

**Must-Have**:

- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Data Management, specifically in Data Governance and Data Privacy within the Financial Services Industry
- Demonstrated experience in conducting data risk assessments and providing effective mitigation recommendations with respects to the appropriate use of data, data privacy and commercial agreements
- Demonstrable competence with legislation relevant to Insurance including the Australian Privacy Principles
- Industry or specialist qualifications within Data Management and/or Risk Management fields
- Strong written and documentational skills
- Effective communication and intrapersonal skills
- Driven, resilient and enthusiastic team player
- Outcome focused and commitment to achieving
- Strong partnering capabilities
- Growth mindset
- Good English communication

**Nice-to-Have**:

- Knowledge of data governance frameworks and best practices
- Familiarity with other compliance regulations relevant to the organization’s industry
- Experience with data visualization tools and techniques
- Understanding of data security and data protection measures
- Proficiency in SQL or other programming languages for data analysis
- Experience with cloud platforms and technologies
- Knowledge of machine learning and advanced analytics concepts

- Effective communication skills to provide regular status reporting and convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Problem-solving abilities to identify and address data issues
- Strong attention to detail to ensure data integrity

**Education and Certifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
