Job Summary
- We are seeking a motivated_**_Business Development Specialist_**_to join our team and drive growth in international markets, with a primary focus on English-speaking regions. This entry-to-mid-level role is ideal for a proactive individual with at least 1 year of relevant experience. Reporting to the CEO, you will play a key role in identifying opportunities, building client relationships, and contributing to our sales pipeline. As a non-technical PM-oriented role, you will start with business-focused responsibilities but have opportunities to upskill in technical aspects to support project management._
**Responsibilities**:
- Conduct initial client consultations to understand needs, qualify leads, and articulate how HOPEE’s outsourcing services can deliver value.
- Collaborate with internal teams to prepare proposals, RFPs, and presentations tailored to client requirements.
- Manage the end-to-end sales process from lead generation to deal closure, including negotiation and contract follow-up.
- Track and report on BD activities, pipeline progress, and market trends using CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot or similar).
- Support project handover to delivery teams, ensuring smooth transitions and gathering feedback for continuous improvement.
- Contribute to market research and strategy development to expand HOPEE’s footprint in key sectors like fintech, e-commerce, and healthcare.

**Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, IT, or a related field.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in business development, sales, or client-facing roles, preferably in software outsourcing or IT services.
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken) - essential for international client interactions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly and handle objections effectively.
- Agile mindset: Quick learner, adaptable to fast-paced environments, and eager to learn new tools/processes.
- Self-motivated with a clear understanding of priorities - knows what needs to be done and takes initiative without micromanagement.
- Willingness to learn technical concepts (e.g., software development basics) to evolve into a non-tech PM role.
- Preferred Qualifications_
- _Prior experience as a Business Analyst (BA) in software projects - a strong plus for bridging business and technical needs_.
- _Familiarity with outsourcing industry trends, agile methodologies, or tools like Jira/Slack._
- _Exposure to international markets (e.g., US, UK, Australia) and cultural nuances in sales._
