Our Marketing teams conceptualise and implement go-to-market activities to achieve increased usage and visibility. The Regional Marketing team is responsible for in-app campaign planning, product marketing, partnerships and content strategy to drive acquisition and engagement. The Regional Brand and Growth Marketing team covers all aspects of online and performance marketing, which involve tracking and measuring data to better reach our users. Our local marketing teams work closely with the regional teams to localise and adapt strategies to increase brand awareness and acquisition in each market. **Media Relations**:

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key media outlets and journalists.
- Proactively pitch stories and secure positive media coverage for Shopee.
- Manage media inquiries and requests for information while monitoring media coverage and analyze sentiment.
- Collaborate with Regional PR team in mitigating content & alignment.

**Crisis Management**:

- Identify and assess potential crises and reputational risks.
- Monitor and track emerging issues that could impact Shopee's reputation.
- Develop and implement crisis communication plans while managing media communication during a crisis.
- Act as a contact point of PR to other Depts for the information updates of policies change, sellers’ noise, Ad-hoc projects and support on the CS and internal communications during the crisis management.
- Proactively engage with stakeholders (Regional PR, COO team, BoD, etc.) to manage expectations and address concerns.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging across all channels.

**Cross function support**:

- Support Content team in working on monthly campaign and ad-hoc projects.
- Lias with other stakeholders to support on issue/ crisis management.
- Other tasks assigned by team lead.

**Requirements**:

- 4+ years of experience in media relations and crisis management.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear and concise messages.
- Existing relationships with key media outlets and journalists.
- Ability to develop and execute effective communication strategies.
- Experience in managing crises and protecting corporate reputation.
- Ability to think critically and solve problems under pressure.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
