Hi there, we’re Article. We’re a North American-based furniture company creating remarkably better furniture experiences one sofa at a time. And as the Sourcing Specialist (2 Years Contract), you’ll identify, establish, and develop high-performing casegoods suppliers.

Why We Need You:
In the sourcing team, this role will focus on building suitable suppliers and processes for the Supply Chain Risk Reduction (SCRR) project, analyzing suppliers' performance and market trends, and securing business objectives according to the relevant category strategy. Contribute to optimizing the value chain that creates better qualified products and meets the needs of the business.

While we sell to the North American market, we work closely with a number of our manufacturing partners throughout Asia. As a result, we have an office in Thao Dien, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, where we currently have around 50 Particles (people of Article) working.

What You’ll Do:
You’ll be part of a team of 5 seasoned casegoods sourcing professionals working to build high-performance casegoods suppliers and ensure the stability and smoothness of sourcing processes.
- As the main point of contact, you will coordinate with cross-functional teams and interact with suppliers to ensure a consistent approach, priorities, and action items are shared to each of our suppliers.
- Manage supplier tactical capacity in alignment with other internal stakeholders and within the company processes.
- Evaluate supplier manufacturing capabilities, SWOT analysis, and give critical inputs to the sourcing strategy.
- Identify and act on business opportunities to create the precondition for product and production cost out
- Overall responsible for business with a defined number of suppliers and business scope.
- Develop effective business relationships and secure their performance in all aspects (as per KPIs and Goals) through Article way.
- You will travel 30% of the year in this role which is a requirement for this position.

**Yêu cầu công việc**:
Who You Are:

- 3+ years of experience in sourcing and merchandising roles in the furniture industry, preferably in indoor wooden furniture.
- A good grasp of wooden products’ technical knowledge, compliance, and production efficiencies is an advantage.
- Strong experience of iterating and excellent management of supplier relationships.
- Ability to work with internal and external customers and suppliers, with total cost development in mind.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Excellent English / Vietnamese verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate in Chinese is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
