FUNCTION:Operations

REPORTING LINE: Leaf growing manager

SALARY RANGE: Competitive market salary + Bonus scheme + Excellent benefits

LOCATION: Gia Lai, Vietnam

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Supervise and coordinate the Tobacco growing process in specific area to ensure the delivery of Green leaf in term of volume and quality.

Conduct new agricultural technical practice trials in the specific leaf growing area to test and validate with the purpose of improving current technical package.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES - BUSINESS
- Tobacco growing technical supervision and support
- Support Field Technicians and guide them following to procedures as agreed.
- Manage input materials
- Check the implementation process of distributing material to farmers
- Monitor Farmers on proper material usage.
- Trial or project implementation
- Conduct new technical practice trials, collect data & report to Leaf growing Manager and GLAD (Global Leaf Agronomy development team)
- Manage the payment process related to the trials conducted during the crop year
- STP implementation
- Perform Farmer monitoring & scouting
- Manage supplier’s Field Technicians on data collecting & analysis.
- Ensure STP implementation and compliance of the assigned leaf growing area
- Cooperation and support
- Manage and guide on leaf re-grading process at Supplier’s warehouse
- Checking green leaf quality at Conveyer belt at Green Leaf Threshing factory
- Supervise the Green leaf threshing process in GLT factory.

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILL
- Formal education
- University Graduate in Agriculture, forestry and related field.
- Knowledge
- Soil science
- Plant nutrient and fertilizer
- Plant pest and disease
- Crop protection
- Role of water to plant
- Experience
- Former agricultural program intern in abroad country is a plus
- Skill
- Soft skills: Good at communication, Presentation and problem solving
- Language: Good in both verbal and writing, able to communicate and work with foreign colleagues
- Microsoft office software proficiency including word, excel, power point...etc.
- Teamwork.
