This is the Invention Age - and this is where you come in. **General Summary**: The Sales Director will be responsible for managing and growing revenue with a large strategic account. This person will work closely with colleagues around the world and be responsible for creating the strategy and execution for driving the sale of Qualcomm products into Mobile, Compute, Automotive, Robotics and Data Center group **Responsibilities** - Develop sales strategies and drive relationships with decision-makers at all levels within customer organizations, including C-level executives, in key areas such as engineering, procurement, marketing, and operations. - Identify and work with ecosystem partners which include OEM, ODM, SI, ISV and developers to establish partnerships to assist the BU in executing its initiatives leveraging a variety of vehicles such as collaborations, investments, commercial partnerships, as well as acquisitions where necessary. - Identify new program opportunities at target customers and propose Qualcomm solutions that best fit their requirements. Understand the key requirements from the customers in terms of functionality, features, cost and other performance metrics and promote a corresponding Qualcomm product that best fits the customers’ requirements. - Cultivate a high level of customer intimacy by presenting regularly with the customers and working to drive relevance and leadership for Qualcomm at focus accounts. - Create customer and broad industry-facing briefings, inclusive of content creation and delivery. Must be able to understand and articulate Qualcomm’s overall product line-up and roadmap, as well as the products offered by competitors. - Partner with Product Management, Product Marketing and Engineering to identify and nurture new business opportunities, strategic partners, and customers for Qualcomm’s business unit, inclusive of informing the business go-to-market motion for new services and customers. - Track competitive offerings, market trends, and business models in cloud and enterprise AI deployment to resolve how they create new opportunities for Qualcomm. **Skills/Experience** The Director, Sales will have had extensive experience in developing relationships at large, complex organizations globally. She or he will have managed to sales targets and goals. Experience in selling components to OEM customers and the understanding of the complexity of the compute and cellular industry are required. The understanding of technically complex products and experience on how to position these to a broad audience are critical. - 12+ years of sales, product management or business development of complex technology products in compute businesses with knowledge of global dynamics of ODMs, OEMs and certification - Strategic account management expertise, the ability to manage change and the desire to operate effectively across organizations and customers - Deep knowledge and experience in building complex financial models that create win-win situations for Qualcomm and our customers - Expert technical understanding and hands-on experience in mobile, Automotive, IoT - Robotics and PC technology including being first line of defense for technical and product issues - Experience in negotiating and managing MDF, NRE and component pricing with large consumer electronic OEMs - Ability to communicate, educate and evangelize both internally and externally - Good communication and interpersonal skills - Creative problem solving with strong analytical skills **Minimum Qualifications** Bachelor's degree and 15+ years of sales, business development, product development or related work experience. **Preferred Qualifications** - Master’s degree in business or technology preferred - 15+ years in product marketing, sales, or product management in the technology industry - 5+ years in a leadership role **Technical leadership**:Leverages technical, professional, and domain-specific knowledge in software product management to achieve strategic and multi-faceted results, attract talent, translate complexity and to captivate stakeholders. This includes providing significant contributions to company and industry knowledge. **Building Collaborative Relationships**:Serves as a role model for building connections across the company.
