- Job Description-
** Job Summary**:-The Chief Accountant is responsible for overseeing the company’s accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all financial processes. This role plays a key part in financial reporting, tax compliance, cash flow management, and continuous improvement of accounting systems (including SAP). The Chief Accountant also provides leadership and guidance to the accounting team to support the company’s financial integrity and strategic objectives.-
** Responsibilities**:-_ 1. Financial Management & Reporting_-- Oversee all accounting operations and ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing activities, and prepare financial statements in accordance with VAS and IFRS/GAAP standards.
-_ 2. Compliance & Audit_-- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, accounting standards, and internal policies.
- Supervise tax filings, statutory reports, and coordinate with external auditors during financial and tax audits.
-_ 3. Accounting Operations_-- Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger postings to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Monitor cash flow, approve payments, and maintain adequate liquidity for business operations.
-_ 4. Internal Controls & Process Improvement_-- Maintain and strengthen internal control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Continuously identify opportunities to enhance accounting processes, system automation, and SAP functionality.
-_ 5. Leadership & Team Development_-- Lead, coach, and develop accounting team members to enhance professional capability and performance.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the finance function.
-** Qualifications**:-- Bachelor’s degree in **Accounting, Finance, or a related field**; Master’s degree is an advantage.
- In-depth knowledge of **Vietnam Accounting Standards (VAS)**, **IFRS/GAAP**, and **taxation regulations**.
- Minimum **7-10 years** of progressive accounting experience, including **at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role**.
- **CPA** or equivalent professional qualification (ACCA, CMA) is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical thinking, leadership, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in **SAP** and **Microsoft Excel**.
- **Willing to work in Bau Bang Factory (**Working time 8:00 - 17:00 from Monday to Friday)
