**Offshore Accountant (Australian Tax & Compliance Focus)**

**Location**: District 1, Ho Chi Minh City

**Work Set up : 2 days office / 3 days wfh**

We are seeking an experienced **Accountant** to join our client's growing team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong knowledge of Australian accounting and taxation standards who thrives in a collaborative, client-focused environment.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Maintain client books using **Xero** accounting software.
- Perform regular bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Prepare payroll in compliance with **Superannuation, PAYG, and Fair Work** requirements.
- Manage and process accounts payable; experience with **Hubdoc** (or similar tools) is a plus.
- Analyze financial data and prepare accurate **month-end reports**.
- Prepare working papers for **BAS, IAS, and compliance reporting** (experience in **XPM** is advantageous).
- Lodge BAS, IAS, and other statutory reports.
- Assist in preparing **annual financial statements and tax returns** in line with Australian standards.
- Collaborate with onshore accountants and managers to ensure timely, high-quality work delivery.
- Stay updated on changes in Australian taxation legislation and advise on potential impacts to clients.

**Qualifications & Skills**
- Bachelor’s degree in **Accounting, Finance, or a related field**.
- **Minimum 2 years of experience** in Australian accounting and taxation.
- **Proficiency in Xero** (Xero certification highly regarded).
- Strong knowledge of **GST, BAS, PAYG, and income tax**.
- Familiarity with cloud-based accounting systems and software integrations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
