Be proud to belong to Meliá as we are proud of you We are looking for **Purchasing Manager - Melia Serenity Cam Ranh (pre-opening)** **Mission**: To assist Management in providing effective Cost Control for purchases made for entire Hotel by implementing without fail, Policies and Procedures on Purchasing as laid down by manage¬ment; supervising, organising, co-ordinating and participat¬ing in the activities of purchasing, to obtain products of the right quality and quantity at the right price and time, and from the right sources. **Main responsibilities**: Responsible for the efficient operation and organization of the purchasing department. Oversee the efficient operation of the purchasing department. Coordinate with user departments to ensure supply needs are met with optimal quality and pricing. Maintain catalogues, supplier quotes, and competitive bids. Collaborate with the F&B Cost Controller and other departments to manage stock levels and reordering. Negotiate with suppliers for new products and favorable terms. Control purchasing to meet immediate needs while ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness. Analyze purchasing requisitions to prevent excessive ordering. Obtain competitive bids from multiple suppliers for all necessary items. Initiate and manage purchase orders, ensuring compliance with specifications and delivery terms. Resolve purchasing issues such as late deliveries and service quality. Provide monthly reports on purchasing trends and supplier pricing. Stay informed about import procedures and assist in securing sponsorships when needed. Attend relevant meetings related to the purchasing department. Maintain an updated file of pending purchase orders. **Main requirements**: - University education in Business Administration, Finance and Accounting or similar. - Fluent Vietnamese and advanced English. - Specific knowledge: accounting, management and control. - Market knowledges. - Knowledge of the different computer programs will be valued: PMS, SAP, and other cost control programmes. - Tool management: Office package. - Knowledge of hotel operations. - Ability to lead teams. - At least 3 years’ experience in a similar position. **At Meliá we are all VIP** Great professionals who make everyday life easier and exceptional.
