Your role

You will contribute to high-quality research activities aligned with RMIT’s strategic research focus and the goals of the project. You will play a critical role in planning, developing, and implementing project tasks under the supervision of the Principal Investigator. This includes literature review, data collection and analysis, stakeholder engagement, and dissemination of findings. The role requires strong research skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external partners to produce high-quality outputs. You will embed your research expertise into the life of the School of Communication and Design by contributing to the development of high-quality, productivity-driven creative research networks across RMIT and with local and national partners in the creative industries, cultural institutions, and technology sectors

Report to Deputy Dean Research & Innovation (SCD)

Key Accountabilities- Contribute to the planning, design, and execution of research activities related to the research project.- Conduct qualitative research, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.- Provide specialist support, with technical expertise in locative media design and development.- Prepare literature reviews, research papers, and presentations to disseminate findings through academic and industry channels.- Collaborate with project stakeholders, including local communities, academic partners, and industry professionals in Vietnam.- Maintain accurate and detailed records of research processes and outcomes.-
- Participate in periodic meetings (online and offline) with the research team.- Complete required tasks at the office (if not agreed differently) and meet deadlines. Key Selection Criteria- Qualification in the relevant discipline area (bachelor degree or master degree)- Evidence of research and practice output including publications, conference contributions, technical reports and/ or portfolio of creative practice.- Demonstrate high level written and verbal communication skills in English and Vietnamese.- Demonstrate ability to meet deadlines and effectively manage varying workloads and respond to changing priorities as required.- Ability to work autonomously whilst displaying strong commitment to work in a team.- Ability to review literature, social media, art projects and other visual materials.- Ability to negotiate copyright of images for publication. Ability to assist with curating visual materials.- Possessing adequate knowledge of digital media and design is preferable.- Ability to travel and assist in on-site evidence collection

English Proficiency

English is the language of teaching and communication at RMIT Vietnam. For this role, the minimum requirement is IELTS General 6.0 (or equivalent Linguaskill 160).
