Mid/senior Analytics Engineer

Holistics is a Business Intelligence platform built for the AI era. We help data teams build a trusted, **supervised self-service analytics experience** for their business stakeholders. With Holistics, data teams free themselves up from low-level ad-hoc data requests, while business stakeholders get their data quickly and reliably without depending on others.

We’re searching for an **Analytics Engineer (Solutions Enablement)** — an analytics engineer who loves teaching as much as modelling data. You’ll build the demo environments that close deals, translate tricky concepts into clear docs, guide new customers through their first dashboard, and turn every hard-won insight into documentations and tutorials the whole community can use.

This is a **full-time role** based in **Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam** with a hybrid WFO/WFH setup.

**What you will do**

Think of the role as a blend of analytics engineering, technical content, and light consulting. On a typical week you might
- **Craft a killer demo**: Slice a public dataset, model it in Holistics’ analytics as-code layer, and polish a dashboard that makes prospects say “aha” during a live call.
- **Tackle an RFP (Request For Proposal) head-on**: Pair with Sales to answer deep questions about performance or workload isolation, then drop your polished answer into our reusable library.
- **Package onboarding assets** - Convert modelling best practices into step-by-step guides, sample repos, or short Loom videos so new customers—and teammates—can self-serve.
- **Support customers with onboarding**: Jump on a shared Slack channel with a brand-new customer, review their warehouse schema, and coach them to reach their first production model in record time.
- **Experiment with new data tools** - Test-drive emerging BI & analytics-engineering tools, evaluate how they might enhance our demos or internal stack, and share your findings with the team.
- **Write it up for everyone**: Turn that workshop into a step-by-step guide, a sample repo, or even a short Loom video so the next customer—or teammate—can self-serve.
- **Consult on a tricky schema**: Spend a few focused days helping a strategic account redesign a fact table, then document the pattern for future projects.

**Your responsibilities**
- Lead pre-sale demo builds, technical RFP responses, and enablement assets (Sales / Success handle the live calls).
- Work with sales & presales team on customer kick-offs, modelling reviews, and best-practice deep dives during onboarding.
- Create and maintain reusable assets—sample warehouses, dbt projects, tutorials, docs, and in-app guides.
- Deliver short, scoped analytics-engineering consulting engagements for high-value customers.
- Continuously explore and prototype new data tools to keep our enablement library fresh.
- Collaborate daily with Product, Sales, and Customer Success to spot recurring questions and turn them into content.

**You’ll be a great fit if you**
- **Live and breathe SQL & data modelling.** You’ve built star/snowflake schemas, dbt projects, or LookML/Holistics views and can explain grain and joins without breaking a sweat.
- **Write like you code—clear, concise, and maintainable.** Send us a blog post, doc, or RFP answer you’re proud of.
- **Enjoy live problem-solving.** Discovery calls and onboarding workshops energise you more than they drain you.
- **Think in systems.** When you solve a problem once, your reflex is to template it for the next fifty times.
- **Communicate fluently in English** with global colleagues and customers
- Bring **3-5 years** in analytics engineering, BI development, solutions/pre-sales, or data consulting.

**Nice-to-haves**
- Hands-on experience with dbt, LookML, Holistics or modern BI tools
- A track record of building demo environments or enablement libraries

**What success looks like**
- **First 90 days** - Sales teams default to your demo warehouse; your first onboarding playbook is published.
- **By Month 6** - Our RFP/docs template library covers 80% of repeat questions; average onboarding time-to-dashboard drops below two weeks.
- **By Month 12** - Your consulting playbooks generate two referenceable customer stories, and you’re mentoring a junior hire or piloting content support for US/EU market.

**Our hiring process (≈ 3 weeks)**

- Round 2: A short takehome or on-site assignment to assess your skills and experience.
