Job Title: Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team at People Profilers Vietnam. As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards and are manufactured in line with customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Quality Standards and Protocols: Enforce and ensure the organization's quality standards and protocols are followed.
  2. Product Development and Manufacturing: Work with the Business Development team to develop and ensure that all products are manufactured in line with customer and requirements.
  3. Supplier Quality Management: Partner with the Business Development team to audit new factories, qualify and recommend new suppliers from a technical and quality perspective.
  4. Quality Inspections: Conduct inline inspections of the process and ensure that guidelines and protocols are being followed.
  5. Supplier Management: Ensure suppliers receive and manufacture products according to technical specifications and all specified requirements consistently for every batch.
  6. Technical Documentation: Ensure all articles have full technical documents and upload all documents on the system timely.
  7. Defect Classification: Set the standards for defect classifications being used in AQL-based quality inspections.
  8. Product Review: Carry out full annual inline inspection product reviews on consistent articles to ensure they are always within specification according to the technical documents.
  9. Sample Inspection: Check and approve samples of new products against agreed specifications from Sales and ensure they are manufactured in line with specified material quality, construction, workmanship, and finishing.
  10. Test Coordination: Run in-house tests on the product before sending to testing labs to ensure due diligence.
  11. Test Report Management: Follow up, check, and coordinate all test lab reports, assembly instructions, carton labels, and loading instructions are in order and submit to the customer/central Quality Engineer within the timeline.
  12. Quality Compliance: Maintain proper records of BOM and quality compliance for each product, including identification of high-risk materials and waivers received from customers.
  13. Sample Management: Change and update approved samples/swatches to ensure they are accurate for reference during QC inspections.
  14. Product Communication: Ensure clear and consistent product communication and provide development ideas.
  15. Technical Specifications: Prepare technical specifications for new products, packaging instructions, labeling instructions, detailed quality requirements, and loading instructions (where required by customers) and send to the Quality Manager for approval.
  16. Supplier Communication: Ensure suppliers receive the latest updated technical documents, including all required documentation, and fully understand the instructions before commencing mass production.
  17. Product Failure Analysis: Prepare and follow up on action plans for any failures, product returns, or claims.
  18. Corrective Actions: Ensure all corrective actions are implemented in suppliers' processes to prevent recurrence of similar claims.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of technical/quality experience (Furniture/Building)
  • Good experience in factory and process audit
  • Good understanding of workmanship quality
  • Supplier quality improvement
  • Good knowledge in product failure analysis
  • Good knowledge in risk assessment of product, material quality, construction, workmanship, and finishing
  • Degree education specializing in Quality Management, Engineering, or equivalent
