Sustaining Technical Program Manager

**Minimum qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in the manufacturing industry.
- Experience in managing projects with cross-functional Technical teams and managing Contract Manufacturers (CMs).
**Preferred qualifications**:
- MBA or Master's degree in Engineering or a related field.- 10 years of experience working and managing international Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) partners.- Experience managing a cross-functional team to achieve new product objectives inclusive of quality, yield, and cost.

Google's custom-designed equipment makes up one of the largest and most powerful computing infrastructures in the world. The Manufacturing Operations team is responsible for providing the manufacturing capability to deliver this state-of-the-art physical infrastructure. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you evaluate the product designs and create the processes, tools and procedures behind Google’s powerful search technology. When vendors build parts for our infrastructure, you’re right there alongside ensuring manufacturing processes are repeatable and controlled. You collaborate with Commodity Managers and Design Engineers to determine Google’s infrastructure needs and product specifications. Your work ensures the various pieces of Google’s infrastructure fit together perfectly and keep our systems humming along smoothly for a seamless user experience.
As a Sustaining Technical Program Manager, you will be the cornerstone of operations communication with technical cross-functional teams in the sustaining/mass production period. You will guide a team of professionals to ensure products are designed and built to Google standards. You will work in a fast-moving environment, as you work with teams to solve problems that gate production line operations to improve the quality and productivity.

**Responsibilities**:
- Identify and ensure ongoing technical risks are identified and mitigated or resolved.
- Manage the operations side for line layout, line bring up, fixture buy off and line qualifications for ramp.
- Be responsible for mass production yield, performance updates to management, product yield, and quality performance at CM sites.
- Set Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and goals for CMs for continuous improvements. Lead and guide CMs to strengthen their manufacturing process control, practice and feedback to cross-functional teams.
- Provide design review (Tolerance Stack Up Analysis and Design For Assembly) to Engineering team and Involve from New Product Introduction (NPI) stage through mass production.
