**What are we looking for?**
As a Junior Data Engineer, you will be pivotal in ensuring the availability, reliability, and scalability of our data platforms. Your role will focus on developing and deploying event-driven pipeline architectures, extending and optimizing data pipelines, and collaborating with various teams to meet business intelligence and data science needs.

**What are you expected to do?**
- Develop and deploy event-driven pipeline architectures, emphasizing distributed ingestion and processing.
- Extend and optimize data pipelines, data lake, and data warehouse to support growing data sources and processing needs.
- Collaborate with other data engineers to review and approve pull requests.
- Improve and optimize information models for BI and data science needs across multiple teams, systems, and products.
- Create robust, reusable, and scalable tools using appropriate software and languages.
- Build end-to-end data solutions within our client’s cloud environment in collaboration with senior team members.
- Work closely with Data Scientists, Analysts, and Users through peer programming, code reviews, and technical consultations.
- Partner with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to build technical solutions aligned with business objectives.

**You’ll be a great fit if**:

- You have proven experience in a similar Data Engineering role with a modern tech stack.
- You possess a strong working knowledge of the Azure stack (storage, networking, terraform), which is highly desirable.
- You have hands-on experience with SQL, Python, Pyspark, Data Bricks/Notebooks, DBT, Airflow, and Data Factory.
- Your experience includes working with data infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and modern DevOps practices.
- You have a proven track record in building, extending, and maintaining robust data pipelines, secure data stores, and efficient streaming and batch data environments.
- You have experience in building, scaling, and monitoring resilient distributed systems.
- You are proficient in creating technical architectures, concepts, designs, and approaches.
