Audio Supervisor

StoryCo is seeking a talented and creative Audio Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in shaping the audio landscape of motion comics by creating and implementing audio components into the stories (namely music, SFX and voice performances). You’ll collaborate closely with a Story Director to align on a creative vision for the soundscape of a project to help it transform from a static web comic to a multimedia motion comic. You will be responsible for sourcing and implementing all the audio aspects of a project, including sourcing music and Sound Effects from license-free libraries, picking voice models and converting and uploading voice performances for character performances. If you’re passionate about music and sound design, have experience with audio editing software, and want to work with an incredible team dedicated to creating multimedia stories, this is the role for you.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Collaborate with Story Director to align a shared creative vision for soundscape of the story, while focusing creative energy on building the necessary audio elements
- Create original voice performances via collaboration with actors or usage of voice performance generation software
- Source story-appropriate sound effects and music via royalty-free libraries
- Edit and fine-tune audio components using tools like **Ableton Live, GarageBand, Pro Tools, or similar platforms**:

- Implementing all newly-created audio elements into the story builder, ensuring they fit the tone and atmosphere of the story.
- Maintain consistency and quality across all audio elements, ensuring that they enhance the immersive experience without overshadowing the visual components.
- Assist in developing streamlined workflows for sourcing, editing, and integrating audio into multimedia stories

**Requirements**:

- Creatively Minded:_
- A strong understanding of (an “ear for”) how sound effects, music, and voice performances can amplify and enhance the web comic storytelling experience
- Experience working in audio for music, podcasts, or film/TV
- Adept with Creative Technologies:_
- Proficiency in audio editing software (Ableton Live, GarageBand, Pro Tools, or similar) with a basic understanding of sound manipulation and layering techniques
- Familiarity with voice model libraries and audio generation tools, as well as experience sourcing and integrating royalty-free audio assets
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new audio tools and platforms used for multimedia storytelling
- Collaborative Mindset:_
- Experience working with cross-functional teams (visual story builders, product, and creative) to align audio content with the broader storytelling efforts
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude to collaborate effectively across different departments
- Fast Execution:_
- Able to manage multiple audio projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards across different story adaptations
- Strong organizational skills with a focus on meeting deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- High Agency:_
- A proactive, problem-solving attitude with the ability to take ownership of audio projects and see them through from conception to completion
- Comfortable with receiving and incorporating feedback to refine and improve audio creation
- Language Requirements:_ English Fluent
