The Key Account Manager (KAM) is responsible for developing and managing strategic relationships with a portfolio of key accounts. This role focuses on maximizing sales and profitability within these assigned accounts by understanding their needs, building strong partnerships, and offering tailored solutions. The KAM acts as the primary point of contact for these key clients, coordinating internal resources and ensuring customer satisfaction. A strong data analysis component is crucial for this role, allowing for data-driven decision-making and strategic planning within key accounts.
- Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
**Relationship Management**:

- Builds and maintains strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers within assigned accounts.
- Develops a deep understanding of the client's business, needs, and objectives.
- Proactively identifies and addresses client challenges and opportunities.
- Acts as a trusted advisor and consultant to key accounts.
**Sales Growth and Account Development**:

- Develops and executes strategic account plans to achieve sales targets and growth objectives.
- Identifies and pursues new business opportunities within existing accounts.
- Negotiates contracts and pricing agreements.
- Manages the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing.
**Data Analysis and Insights**:

- Analyzes sales data, market trends, and customer behavior to identify growth opportunities and optimize account strategies.
- Develops data-driven insights to inform sales forecasts, pricing strategies, and promotional activities.
- Utilizes data visualization tools to communicate findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders.
- Monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) and provides regular data-driven updates on account performance.
**Internal Collaboration and Coordination**:

- Works closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing, supply chain, customer service) to ensure seamless delivery of products and services.
- Coordinates internal resources to address client needs and resolve issues.
- Communicates effectively with internal stakeholders to align on account strategies and objectives.
**Forecasting and Reporting**:

- Accurately forecasts sales and revenue for assigned accounts based on data analysis.
- Prepares and presents reports to management on account activity, progress, and data-driven insights.
**Market Intelligence**:

- Stays informed about market trends, competitive landscape, and industry best practices.
- Shares market insights with internal teams to inform product development and sales strategies.
- Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven track record of success in key account management, preferably within the beauty industry/ personal care industry
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated experience in data analysis and interpretation. Proficiency with data analysis tools and techniques is essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients at all levels.
- Able to work both individual & cross function collaboration
- Additional Skills (preferred):

- Experience working with large, complex accounts.
- Prior experience working with Modern trade, CVS, mínimarts, or similar retail channels is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of beauty industry is a plus.
- Strong presentation, negotiation skills.
