- Assess the capability of vendors and suppliers in supporting the related category and making the product
- Implement fact-based costing on cost architecture building and cost negotiations
- Evaluate different cost options and make recommendations to achieve the business goals
- Organize and facilitate an effective design trip. Monitor post trip follow up, support the merchandiser and senior merchandiser if any road block on sampling and costing.
- Drive Calendars/GNG/CGL for new styles
- Provide direction to merchandiser and senior merchandiser if anything impacting the sample readiness and costing.
- Monitor the number of developments and call out for support
- Monitor the style allocation to make sure the right product at the right vendors per aligned sourcing strategy.
- Partner with region design tech on complex garment styles
- Coach /Calibrate the team and vendors on fact-based costing and sensitivity on the cost driver.
- Support the team on costing negotiations with vendors.
- Call and hold the risk assessment meeting with cross functional team and vendors
- Call and hold the product adoption meeting with cross functional team and vendors to make sure all parties on the same page
- Ensure the team is able to build strong manufacturing and product knowledge by spending time at the development centers and manufacturing sites
- Work with PD & CFT to drive seasonal development allocation strategy to balance capability, capacity, costs, quality & sourcing strategy. Have the ability to drive conversation with vendors/suppliers/PD/CFT for alignment. Have the ability to come up with solutions to resolve issues
- The ability to risk assessment & come up with solutions to resolve
- Play the quarterback role

**Qualifications**
- 8+ years related experience in following up time and actions
- Relevant capability in designated function:

- Development & Costing - costing, consumption, risk assessment, product development
- Proven record in excellent leadership and people management skills
- Proficient in Word, Excel and Powerpoint
- Bachelor Degree/Higher Diploma or equivalent
