**Job Scope**:
As the lead for marketplace operations within the SEA region, this role centers on managing and optimizing marketplace processes, supporting client stakeholders, and implementing best practices across commerce operations, seller/brand management, and promotional activities. The individual will be the key point of contact and expert on marketplace dynamics, with responsibilities in planning, execution, process optimization, training, and team management. They will oversee marketplace performance, introduce process improvements, and provide necessary training to maintain efficiency. The role also includes managing a small team and collaborating with clients to align processes, enhance efficiency, and ensure operational excellence.
**Responsibilities**:
- **Marketplace Operations**:
- Oversee daily operations to ensure efficient commerce, seller/brand management, and campaign activities.
- Track and analyze marketplace KPIs to monitor performance.
- **Strategic Planning and Execution**:
- Develop and implement strategic growth and optimization plans.
- Identify and leverage growth opportunities and collaborate with cross-functional teams on promotional initiatives.
- **Process Management and Optimization**:
- Manage end-to-end marketplace operations.
- Introduce and optimize processes to improve efficiency.
- Regularly review and update operational procedures.
- **Training and Development**:
- Provide training to team members and stakeholders.
- Develop training materials to improve team capabilities.
- Promote continuous learning within the team.
- **Stakeholder Management**:
- Collaborate closely with client stakeholders to understand needs and streamline processes.
- Act as the main contact for client inquiries and issues related to marketplace operations.
- Lead a team of 3, including Store Operations & Customer Service, Performance Marketing, and Graphic Designer.
- Oversee project P&L, manage forecasting, and ensure accurate billing.
- Oversee team resourcing, recruitment, and training to meet operational requirements.
- **Marketplace Ecosystem and Tools**:
- Stay informed on the latest trends, tools, and technologies in the marketplace landscape.
- Evaluate and implement new tools to enhance operations.
- Maintain relationships with marketplace partners and vendors.
**Required Skills and Experience**:
- English fluently
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative/technical field or business management.
- 5+ years of experience in digital commerce, digital sales, or sales & marketing.
- Experience managing channel sales, channel marketing, promotions, and campaign planning.
- Proficient in data analysis and tools like MS Excel.
- Strong knowledge of e-commerce platforms (Lazada, Shopee, etc.) across SEA markets.
- Confident in managing client relationships and expectations independently.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven.
- Experience with sales & marketing in Consumer Goods/Consumer Durables or related sectors.
- Awareness of the latest digital commerce and marketing trends.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to evolving team and client needs.
