MAIN ROLES
- Responsible to negotiate with the suppliers best possible prices for goods to help keep the hotels expenditure to a minimum.
- To obtain 3 quotations at all times for cash purchases.
- To follow up with all department orders with suppliers and update accordingly.
- Fully in charge of the day to day purchases for all departments in the hotel.
- Runs errands for the Purchasing Manager.
- Updates all Purchase Order files and aids the Purchasing Secretary in updating filing as well
- Keeps the hotel vehicles clean and polished properly at all times.
- Clears imported goods from the airport as and when required.
- Responsible in following with the Directorate of Customs keeping customs receipts, renewed and updated.
- To purchase urgent items required from other countries when not available locally.
- Responsible in keeping the receiving area clean and tidy.
- Responsible in maintaining a good relationship with all suppliers, keeping a polite and professional attitude at all times.
- Complies with the hotels Fire, Health & Safety policies
- Be responsible in keeping our property safe and secure, to participate in any hotel activity related to Fire Life safety.
- Performs any additional duties as assigned by the Purchasing Manager.

- Maintain a close, cooperative relationship with other departments to guarantee effective communication.
- Implement and coordinate cooperation as a supporting department for business operation.
- Ensure smooth work cooperation among departments and always provide support not to cause any interruptions in business operation.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Diploma or Vocational Certificate in Accounting or Business Administration or related field.
- Experience: 1 year experience in purchasing; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Credentials: Working Experience in 5 Star Hotel Security Department Works preferred

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the Company.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
- Good writing skills
