**Head of Engineering, VNG Games Publishing Platform**

The Head of Engineering is expected to have strategic thinking and strong business acumen combined with technical expertise in software engineering to make a significant impact on the VNG Games Publishing Platform. This role is a leadership position within the core gaming business and is responsible for products within the ecosystem, including login systems, payment systems, user management systems, infrastructure, and other services supporting internal studios.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- ** Technical Strategy**: Develop and execute the company's technical strategy, ensuring that it aligns with the overall business goals and objectives.
- ** Global Scalability**: Ensure the core products are stable, less error-prone, easy to expand, and maintained at the highest quality with a vision to expand services globally.
- ** Product Strategy**:In partnership with the Head of Product, develop and execute the company’s consumer-facing product strategy, particularly as it relates to the centralized player platform, games connection, and payment channels.
- ** Talent Development**: Lead, manage, and mentor the technical team, ensuring that they have the resources and support they need to be successful. Provide coaching and leadership to ensure each member is developing their skills and career.
- ** Vendor Management**:Manage relationships with third-party technology vendors and ensure that their services and products meet the company's needs and standards.
- ** Security**: Ensure that the Platform's technology infrastructure and systems are secure and protect the company's intellectual property.
- ** Innovation**:Stay up-to-date on the latest technology trends and innovations, and identify opportunities to incorporate new technologies into the company's offerings.
- ** Budgeting**: Develop and manage the technology budget, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively and efficiently.

**Yêu cầu**:

- ** Technical Expertise**: In-depth knowledge and experience in software development including both backend and frontend programming, as well as experience working within agile structures.
- ** Product Management**: Strong product management skills, including the ability to organize teams around clear outcomes and efficiently allocate engineering resources.
- ** Leadership**:Strong leadership skills, including the ability to lead and manage teams, build consensus, and motivate and inspire others.
- ** Communication**: Excellent communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- ** Problem Solving**: Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify and resolve technical issues in a timely and effective manner.
- ** Strategic Thinking**: The ability to think strategically and make informed decisions that will support the company's overall goals and objectives, particularly in long-term architectural solutions.
- ** Business Acumen**:A solid understanding of business operations and an ability to think in terms of both technical and business impacts.
- ** Adaptability**: The ability to adapt to new technologies and changing business environments, and to continuously learn and grow.

**Other Requirements**:

- Familiarity working with Golang, Java, PHP, Python
- Prior experience in gaming, payments, and/or eCommerce is a plus
- Track record in delivering B2C or B2B products
- Experience managing 50+ engineers required
- Position based on Campus in Ho Chi Minh City
