The role & key responsibilities

RMIT Vietnam Market Intelligence & Analytics Department is responsible for providing a wide range of market intel, research evidence and customer insights to reduce risks of the university and inform decision making in brand, products, pricing, competitors, promotion, and channels. We are seeking a highly motivated Qualitative Researcher cum Moderator for our Market Intelligence team, with experience in leading qualitative studies to collaborate with internal stakeholders and advance the customer insights and educational analytics maturity across the university.

You will help us implement strategic development, execution of qualitative market research studies and disseminate actionable insights to stakeholders. Your work will serve as the university’s customer insights hub, bringing expertise on business intelligence and qualitative insights.

The role is expected to have a solid understanding of the education market and possess leadership capabilities to initiate and drive qualitative projects as well as efficiently disseminating customer insights and interpretation of implication to stakeholders.

This role will be in constant communications with both internal & external stakeholders in Vietnam and Melbourne, requiring a working understanding of all stakeholders’ functions and department objectives to deliver optimal qualitative research solution. This role identifies risks, make improvements to, and streamlines procedures on qualitative research design and market research solutions to effectively facilitate projects and enhance quality of deliverables.

The position is mainly based in HCMC, but the scope of work will cover other regional markets following the university ’s direction.

**Job Description**:

Key selection criteria
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field, ideally in a social science (e.g., Marketing, Psychology, Languages, Sociology).
- At least 3-4 years of relevant qualitative market research experience in market research, education and/or similar industries.
- Demonstrate profound knowledge qualitative market research techniques and industry practices. Fluent understanding of and great familiarity with the overall qualitative research process including logistics, design, execution, and implications.
- Significant moderation experience. Solid communication/ interpersonal capabilities-both face-to-face and virtual.
- Experience synthesizing research findings, determining relevant implications and presenting results. Personal strength in analytical and creative writing is a plus.
- Strong business acumen and problem-solving skills.
- Proven contributor in the development and implementation of new qualitative approaches and structures.
- Excellent customer service approach and ability to engage, support, and work collaboratively with managers and stakeholders at all levels internally and externally.
- Excellent written and verbal communication. Well-developed interpersonal skills including coordination, liaison, and communication, both written and spoken, in English and Vietnamese, across a broad range of stakeholders
- Strong project management, agency, and commitment to continuous improvement in work processes, to ensure quality outcomes. Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
