**In short**:
The world’s fastest growing sports company is seeking an Innovation Footwear Developer to execute innovation development in our production creation facility in Vietnam. This person will be responsible for driving new product development from concept through to inline product creation. In addition, this person will lead how On translates our footwear innovation work to each of our inline footwear products; then, working directly with the broader product teams to create high-quality prototypes and samples.

**Your Mission**:

- Execute innovation footwear development from kick-off to inline transfer following all stages of prototyping, sampling, testing, and costing, in a way that transfers conceptual innovation to production and sourcing
- Oversee fabrication and assembly of materials and components using almost any type of machinery and hand tool, including (but not limited to) machines for cutting, injecting, sanding, buffing, sewing, welding, pressing, additive manufacturing and lasting
- Provide clear communication between HQ development teams and suppliers
- Identify and qualify new suppliers for key projects
- Ability to kickoff innovative footwear projects with suppliers and work with them to steer development process
- Support the tooling team by understanding mold structures and 2D/3D CAD files.
- Provide innovative solutions that continue to evolutionize and revolutionize On performance footwear
- Frequent travel to factories & suppliers around HCMC, travel to north Vietnam and other international countries

**Your story**:

- At least 3 years’ experience in footwear, performance footwear experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or another relevant field preferred
- Demonstrated expertise in traditional footwear manufacturing processes - injecting, cutting, sewing, welding, machining, laser cutting, construction, prototyping. Excellent understanding of pattern and shoe construction with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement
- Expert in commercializing new technology and leading manufacturing scaling, costing and testing. Understanding of compounds at a general level
- Excellent communication skills and comfort adapting communication style between cross-functional partners at all levels
- Ability to work independently under a deadline on several projects simultaneously requiring both innovative ideas and engineering problem-solving. Exemplify a high tolerance for ambiguity and solution-focused attitude

**Your story**:
