1. Job Objective
The main job scopes are managing planning and design of Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) works which include ACMV, Plumbing & Sanitary, Electrical, Fire Protection and Fire Alarm, Lifts & Escalators and Gas systems. This shall include cooperating with the Project Leader in M&E consultant appointment, managing design works, tender and tender recommendation for award of M&E packages with aim to achieve timely completion within budget and desirable quality.
2. Key Responsibilities
Outline project objectives and work with the consultants to determine project specification for M&E services
Manage the design consultants, ensure the design to meet Management’s requirements on Concept design, timeline, budget
Coordinate M&E consultant with other consultants and with the internal departments on design requirements and revert the feedback to consultants for their works
Coordinate with the design consultants and submission service consultant for preparation of any Authority submission document
Coordinate with project lead coordinator on Project Specification and assist Sale & Marketing on coordination with consultants for providing sufficient marketing Sale Purchase Agreement
Manage consultants to develop design, ensure the design to meet Management’s requirements on Concept design, timeline, budget approved
Work with consultants on any potential innovative ideas implemented to the projects
Work with consultant on any VE items for saving cost and time for project and seek advice from direct manager and Senior Management for perusal
Manage M&E consultant in tender design, review tender drawings and document in preparation for tender
Coordinate with the design consultant and QS to prepare tender program, tender technical document, procurement method for tender packaging to meet overall project timeline and budget.
Manage M&E consultant on reviewing tender technical submission and reply on any tender clarification.
Prepare tender technical evaluation prior to award
Manage M&E consultant on preparation for Contract drawings and document upon tender award
Assist site construction team on reviewing key items of shop drawings and materials in compliance with approval Concept Design and method of statement
Lead the design consultant on design changes if any and seeking approval from all internal KLV Management according to FAL.
Attend weekly site meeting and assist site team for implementing during construction stage, proposed solutions for solving problems if any
Organize periodical and ad-hoc site visit, ensure construction quality to meet design intent & specification
Assist QS team & related consultants on reviewing/verification of VO and payment matters related to design
Assist site construction team during testing & commissioning period, ensure the system well-functioning and meet performance required
Work with Operation team and Customer Focus Unit for any design defects and improvement
Build up lessons learnt from completed projects for up-coming projects.

Excellent knowledge of local building regulations, good M&E practices and local materials
Good knowledge in project management especially on M&E design and coordination aspects
Good leadership and communication skills with strong ability to lead
Good interpersonal skills and a team player with strength in coordination with various parties
Good at English
Good ability to coordinate and work closely with contractors and suppliers especially on M&E aspects
Well-versed in Word, Excel, AutoCAD, MS Project
Graduated with bachelor degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
10 years working experiences with at least 5 years in Consultancy Company and at least 3 years in coordination and supervision of mixed use and high-rise development.
