Direct Subordinates: Reservation, Sales Managers/Sales Executive and Sales Coordinator, Banquet Sales
SCOPE
- Support the AGM to oversee the sales department, assist with planning and executing the hotel's strategy and sales activities to ensure that rooms and outlets revenue are maximised and fulfilled according to agreed budgeted guidelines.
- To assist EAM in driving and motivating the sales team and continually striving to improve all results and targets.
- To be pro-active, professional and friendly in all aspects of service and customer interaction
- Nurture an ongoing commitment to the personal and professional growth and development of oneself and team members.
- Provide effective role-modelling for staff by ensuring that one's own performance and presentation are maintained at impeccable levels.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Actively pursue and maintain a close relationship with all major and potential sales accounts. Develop relationships with clients at all levels.
2. On-going maintenance and update of sales account
3. Give guidance and suggestions on the rate strategy across all segments, including direct and OTAs
4. Monitor market activities and carry out ongoing research to establish new marketing opportunities.
5. Participate in weekly sales meeting and any other meetings when required.
6. Maintain existing business in designated territory whilst continuing to prospect for new business development.
7. Stand in to oversee department according to the assigned territory and general department’s operation in the absence of AGM.
8. Ensure Account Management is recorded in the Account Management system.
9. Provide monthly report on sales call activities/ market intelligence/ guest feedback to ensure department goals and objectives are met.
10. Generating reports on monthly market segment production, nationality, returnee guest, frequent booker’s program.
11. Closely supervise and oversee the work tasks of the reservations department, giving assistance as and when required.
12. Provide monthly training with all staff to improve staff performance and new updates and SOPs.
13. Maintain effective working relationships with other employees.
14. Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies to achieve overall objectives as Assistant Director of Sales position.
15. At all times project a favorable image of both Saigon Prince Hotel to enhance public recognition and acceptance of all its areas of endeavor.
16. Demonstrate leadership for the company in the area of training and development of staff within your scope of responsibility
17. Be co-operative and supportive of other team members through consulting, providing feedback and sharing information with others.
18. Seek feedback and comments from guests and partners and transfer to operations departments for continual process improvement.
19. Express ideas with clarity and confidence and in a logical manner.
20. Possess good administration and interpersonal skills and the ability to work to agreed timeframes and reporting schedules.
