Assistant Manager, Human Resources

PURPOSE:
To foster a community focused on significant moments - providing valuable HR service and support to a defined area. Playing a vital role in local or global HR projects and initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Act as the main point of contact for managers and employees, including retail staff, offering guidance on policies and procedures
  • Act as a trusted advisor on all people-related matters, coaching Line Managers on people, engagement, career progression, and performance decisions
  • Implement People Strategy in a specific area
  • Collaborate with expert communities to enhance skills and capabilities, operationalize workforce planning, and analyze trends through dashboards
  • Create a strong Talent pipeline with succession plans for retail management roles
  • Ensure effective execution of people products and processes, adjusting communication for employees
  • Handle inquiries and needs from managers and employees promptly
  • Educate and assist managers in their roles and responsibilities related to people management
  • Update guidelines and policies in compliance with local laws and regulations, working closely with HR partners
  • Oversee employee lifecycle with HR partners
  • Support Line Managers in annual people processes like compensation reviews and performance evaluations
  • Manage budgeting and personnel expenses tracking
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives locally or globally

  • HR Capabilities: Expertise in labor law, HR metrics, change management, continuous learning, and employee relations. Basic understanding of workforce planning
  • Business Capabilities: Commercial awareness, customer focus, understanding of HR strategy and key business processes
  • Consulting Capabilities: Solutions-oriented, ability to present HR solutions, trusted advisor, team facilitation, coaching, and project management
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and management skills
  • Customer-oriented with great interpersonal and coaching skills
  • Strong organizational and problems-solving abilities

REQUISITE EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • University degree or equivalent in a relevant field
  • Minimum of 6-7 years of progressive experience in HR Business Partnering or related areas, preferably in an international setting
  • Proficiency in written and oral English
