  • THE BUSINESS SCHOOL
  • The Business School is the largest School in RMIT Vietnam with approximately eight thousand students on two campuses (Ho Chi Minh Saigon South and Hanoi). The school has three departments, 112 academic staff, four research fellows and 25 Professional staff. In terms of programs there are four bachelor programs, two PGCert programs, two Master programs and two PhD programs. Each department has one program and the fourth program has nine majors supported across the departments. The school is one of five schools of the RMIT College of Business and Law, Melbourne.
  • There are six research clusters in the school, three hubs and a forward plan will seek to conflate this structure to a Digital technologies centre and sustainability cluster, with Tourism and Hospitality spanning both domains. The expertise and research foci of the school are blockchain, cryptocurrencies, cybersecurity, smart cities, sustainability, and these contribute to the four RMIT pillars for research.
  • Recent growth areas have been in research and corporate education (AACSB accreditation is expected in Staff are currently transitioning into semester teaching whilst the school maintains three intakes and delivery. A new workload allocation framework is now applied to accommodate these developments.


The Associate Lecturer will be required to teach and conduct classes in disciplines relevant to their field of expertise and assist in the academic and administrative, consultative and coordination tasks involved with these courses.

Functions associated with the position include presentation of lectures and tutorials, assessment of students and course administration in line with the University's quality assurance requirements.

The Associate Lecturer is also required to undertake research activities in line with the University's research strategy.

It is expected that the Associate Lecturer will work under support and guidance to develop expertise in teaching and research with an increasing degree of autonomy.

  • OUR REQUIREMENTS
Master's degree (for Associate Lecturer) Ph.
D. degree (for Lecturer) hourly rate positions.

As an Associate Lecturer teaching a Digital Content Creation course, demonstrated creativity and knowledge about photography, videography, copyrighting, and content planning.

Experience in event planning and social media marketing and management is preferred.

For an Associate Lecturer teaching a Digital Business Development course, demonstrated experience in performing Search Engine Optimization (SEO), web design and brand management, and managing digital campaigns is preferred.


  • Industry or professional experience.
  • Please note:
English is the language of teaching and communication at RMIT Vietnam. For this role, the minimum requirement is IELTS Academic 7.0 and with no band less than 6.5 (or equivalent).
For Academic Teaching Staff, English Language Proficiency may be proven by showing completion of Ph.
D.

and/or a Master's qualification whilst being instructed through the medium of English, supported by the experience of teaching in an English-speaking environment for the past 24 months.


  • SALARY
  • Vietnamese Staff: VND hourly rate per actual working hour
  • Associate Lecturer: VND663,000 gross/ hour
  • Lecturer: VND826,000 gross/ hour
  • The hourly rate you receive is based on an "actual working hour".
  • For every hour of teaching, you will be paid for two hours. The two hours related to 1hour teaching and 1 hour of lesson preparation, marking, and administration.
