Your role


This position will be the coordinator of academic and professional staff, and students from the School of Communication & Design (SCD) involved in the production of internal and external facing events and exhibitions.

The position is particularly involved in coordinating working processes between staff across all the University's operations and engagement related departments with respect to coordinating events and exhibitions for the School.- Manage and coordinate the planning of various specific School of Communication & Design (SCD) events and exhibitions.- Coordinate effective communication and collaboration between Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and RMIT Melbourne in relation to SCD events and exhibitions.- Assist line manager in solving issues relating to budgets, logistics, compliance, etc.- Plan and coordinate external guests coming to RMIT Vietnam for SCD events and exhibitions.- Provide interface between the School, students and the professional market, at various events such as Student Orientation Days, School & Program Induction sessions, marketing and student recruitment events, Vietnam Festival of Creativity & Design and other internal and external focused SCD Events & Exhibitions.- Liaise and coordinate with external stakeholders in relation to the production of SCD events and exhibitions.- Liaise and coordinate with the university's operations and engagement related departments with regards to SCD events and exhibitions.- Arrange meetings, take minutes, circulate and file documents, including student/staff feedback concerning SCD events and exhibitions.- Oversee the production of and contribute digital contents such as photos, videos, graphic designs, etc.

for social media channels, websites and other platforms.- Organise and manage an archive of student works and update contents of the school showcase website.- Undertake other duties as required by the line manager.


Key selection criteria- Bachelor Degree in relevant fields such as event management, project management, marketing.- Demonstrated experience and expertise in managing sophisticated events and projects from start to finish.- Demonstrated people management experience.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including negotiation, liaison, cross-cultural communication and report writing skills.- Outstanding time management and meticulous organization skills. Proven ability to work under pressure and respond to multiple changing priorities while demonstrating sound judgment and exercising prudent decision making.- Significant expertise and experience in the coordination of people and projects, and excellent management skills including the ability to plan and manage activities, to provide advice and to prioritise, monitor and evaluate work performance and flow.- Ability to display appropriate behaviours in line with the position, as per the RMIT Behavioural Capability Framework (Connectedness, Commitment to Excellence - Improve and Simplify, Imagination and Innovation, Impact, Inclusion, Agility).

English Proficiency- The minimum requirement is IELTS with a score of at least 6.0 or 160 in Linguaskills.
