Job summary:

Responsibilities:

Present, promote and sell industrial equipment and solutions for the food industry segments to existing and prospective customers

  • Generate sales calls and visit existing and potential customers
  • Conduct presentations and demos, proof of concepts and any other related demonstrations as relevant to sales
  • Perform analyses of existing and potential customers' needs and offer solutions that address their needs
  • Prepare and calculate standard offer/quotations based on identified customer needs in line with company's standards, rules and regulations or as directed and submit for approval
  • Negotiate contract and tender terms and conditions in close coordination with the functional manager that are in line with the company's standards, rules and regulations, or as directed
  • Cooperate and coordinate with team members and other departments especially Technical Services, Engineering Operations, and sales colleagues from other departments, to offer and execute solutions that fulfil the customer's needs.
  • Conduct regular sales planning and report it to the functional manager
  • Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to meet the target
  • Update the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system regularly
Analyze the market as input for suitable strategies, and grow the business by being visible in the market

  • Keep constantly updated on relevant knowledge, trends, and best practices in the warehouse automation market
  • Forecast, analyze, and report to the functional manager the following: market potentials, trends, customer needs, interests and problems
  • Appraise customer segmentation and competitor activities including information on crosscountry investments of customers
  • Plan sales activity based on market analysis
  • Attend local and international company fairs
Develop, establish and maintain long term, positive relationships with customers.

  • Build and maintain strong and sustainable relationships with customers by emphasizing the company's comprehensive industrial solutions
  • Provide excellent service to customers by anticipating questions, concerns and future issues and provide solutions which result in repeated business, word of mouth referrals and increased sales
  • Find solutions to customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction
  • Represent the company to the public, key stakeholders, and partners to ensure a good reputation

Experience requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of machinery sales experience in the Food Technology industry, with broad relationships with businessrelated customers. Technical knowledge will be a plus
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to interact with seniorlevel customers
  • Goaloriented, dynamic and high sense of responsibility
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Effective planning, analytical and implementation skills
  • Good computer skills and proficiency in MS Office Applications
  • Good written and verbal English skills
  • Readiness to travel frequently, both locally and overseas

Education requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Economics, preferably with a focus in food technology
